I just read this and it doesn't characterize the interview well at all. It also introduces this guy as "largely unknown until he emerged as an adamant opponent of COVID-19 vaccines". It doesn't mention that he is fully vaccinated and is the inventor of mRna vaccine technology.

"Inventor" of mRNA vaccines. That's a good one! Science doesn't work like B movies, where a single person says "voila," and invents a vaccine. He was among those who developed it, but he's hardly the inventor. Here's a sober analysis of Malone's role in mRNA development.

The development of mRNA vaccines was a collaborative effort; Robert Malone contributed to their development, but he is not their inventor

Am seriously retiring in a year when I turn 65. Tired of COVID. Tired of vaccine refusniks. Tired of being pushed for antibiotics “just in case”. Time for a young folk to take my place.
Will summer in New Hampshirite, winter here.

You won't regret it. I retired six years ago to the date, at age 54. It was an above-average job, but I have no desire to return.

Which is more funny
-me incorrectly labelling him as an inventor rather than contributor, in a post that I wrote in two minutes
or
-the professional journalist of that article labelling him as "largely unknown until he emerged as an adamant opponent of COVID-19 vaccines"
?

Buddy from work is a big burly tattooed, ex-marine biker. He thinks he's tough. I've always wanted to go toe to toe with him and test him...

We end up in Dallas for training together. Go out drinking hard and he pulls me outside. Says everybody in the bar wants to fight me. I say, let's go back in a kick some ass, it would be a coming together of the Navy and Marines...

He tells me the only person he will let me fight is him. We catch a cab home.

In the back of the cab we start swinging. The cabbie gets upset, so we stop and ask him to drop us off behind our hotel.

We both know it is on at that point. I remember paying the taxi as he loosened up. It was a dark empty parking lot. Perfect.

I got him in a head lock and started pounding away. He broke free and punched me square in the face.

Have you ever had a moment of clarity? I did.

I remember thinking, if this is all he has, he's about to get an ass whooping...

.025 nanoseconds later I saw my feet rise as I was airborne. I broke my tail bone landing.

I got up and said you win and went to bed.

Next day my buddy had no recollection of the night before or facial damage from my barrage...

It's not you labeling Malone as the inventor; it's Malone labeling himself as the inventor. That's a red flag among any group of scientists.

And the reporter is referring to him correctly as largely unknown in reference to the general public rather than to his colleagues. Now he has all the attention he wants; he's no longer largely unknown to the types who listen to Joe Rogan.

He doesn't come across as someone who's looking for personal gain.

He comes across as someone who feels compelled to expose the corruption that has taken control of his profession.

I found the interview enlightening. I'm not an anti-vaccer, looking for a champion. I'm fully vaccinated.

Interesting article from the British Medical Journal on the end of the pandemic. BLUF: "the end of the pandemic will not simply follow the attainment of herd immunity or an official declaration, but rather it will occur gradually and unevenly as societies cease to be all consumed by the pandemic’s shocking metrics."

I like this chart. It shows how COVID-19 has impacted mortality but also demonstrates the degree that life expectancy has improved over the years. The year 1918, with the Spanish Flu and WWI, were a particularly bad time.

The end of the pandemic will not be televised

Read this - if you dare - and you'll see the guy clearly has an axe to grind...and grind it he shall:

The Vaccine Scientist Spreading Vaccine Misinformation
When I read the names Steve Bannon, Tucker Carlson and Glenn Beck, I really didn't need to read much further. I was wondering where the Alex Jones interview was. I put this guy in the same category as Dr's Dan Erickson and Artin Masshi, I'll even throw in Dr Scott Atlas...

Alex Jones? Andrew Jones was a helluva outfielder for the Braves. :)

10 years ago today I joined HFBoards. Clearly I was jumping on the playoff run bandwagon, but never jumped off.

I'm sure my arrival had nothing to do with this:

I've been tired of gov't overreach for years on end. This time around the government hasn't overreached. The drivers in the vaccination campaign are corporations exercising their corporate freedom to insist that their employees are vaccinated.

I'm more tired of people with a warped sense of rights, people who "do their research" by reading up on everything which fits their worldview, and people whose decisions put others at risk.

I wish they had a laugh function.

yeah. Unfortunately it’s the fat cats getting fatter. The ones shoving the big pharma down your throat. No thanks. I’ll pass. But you do you.
Enjoy retirement!

How about small pharma? In 2019, Moderna's revenue was only $60mil. In the past 12 months, it was $12B. Quite a sizable jump. Good for them. They've done a great service to mankind.

I had no part in this. :D
Arizona's online and retail sportsbooks generated $486.1M in bets and $37.5M in gross operator revenue in October to shatter the record for a second month in the U.S. market. The sizzling tally for October followed a strong debut month in September for Arizona sports betting. The two-month sports betting handle in Arizona was $777M.
