Yeah, it's great for him to want the leafs to succeed. I'd rather see zero emotion coming from him. He should be looking long-term/big picture outlook. The short-term outlook has been going on for 9 years.

so here goes

Buffalo's and Arizona's GMs/ organisations have told their fans their plans, basically it goes like this

"look, we are blowing up our rosters and building through the draft, understand that when we do this winning games is not our top priority , lots of losses will happen"

They are succeeding at their plan, the fans know the plan, ergo, they are succeeding.

Here it's "we are doing everything we can to just make the playoffs" that's their plan and they are failing miserably at it.
