Remake the thread, edit your text to say DELETE

Actually there was a small link called "edit" next to the poll up there so I was able to make it multiple choice. Welp...that was embarassing.

I think I pulled a BRATT.

@OmNomNom BTW, when I said Goat, I don't mean Greatest-Of-All-Time.

I meant the person who played like SH*T.

I think you should rethink your selection of Mercer, my friend.

Bratt, garbage. Not a lot else needs to be said.

Severson with two bone headed adventures into nomansland.

Siegenthaler very dubious, I am worried about this player.

I said Subban bc I feel like he's gonna get dinged for a slew foot. The Reaves one was meh but it put him on the map. Tonight's was fairly obvious IMO.

Bullshit. It was was an unobstructed shot from just below the top of the circle that beat Daws underneath him. It was a horrible defensive breakdown, but most goalie in the league clean that up and make the save for the whistle.

I get it that Daws is basically a kid being thrown in there. But that a couple of injuries hit and we have to turn to him is an indictment on the organization. We should have a better 3rd goalie call up than Wedgewood.
Use your eyes man. Shot was from the hash marks(slightly above) and was a very hard well placed and quickly released shot. You literally could not shoot from a better spot and that is one of the hardest shots to stop.

I have eyes. It was a stoppable shot from a guy who has scored 10 of fewer goals the last 4 years.

I’m not sure why people on here can’t understand that two things can both be true at the same time. That it awful defensive performance tonight with breakdowns galore AND the goaltending was bad on top of it. Saying that you should expect better goaltending than 4 goals on 8 shots shouldn’t be controversial.

Still don't know why Studenic sits over Geersten. I love the energy that Studenic has played with in the games that he has been in.

Not saying Geersten is why we are losing games, but I don't get this single decision by the coaching staff. Calgary didn't play that physical a game, IMO.

Other thoughts:

Don't know if these injuries that Nico sustained last season, particularly the puck to face one, but Nico doesn't look as dangerous, and is more hesitant. Whether he has lost some speed or is in a rut, I would expect him to stand out a little more this season in a positive way. It's not happening right now.

I undersatnd that Bratt is streaky and has been streaky for last few years, and is playing awfully, but more baffling is what the hell happened to Sharangovich. He isn't even generating shots or speed, either. Last year he was all speed, and whipping a nice shot. He isn't doing any of that.

I’m not sure what the amount of goals he has scored has to do with this. It was a very good shot and hard to stop.

I said this in the game thread but it bears repeating, Ruff commented about how we were missing speed with Hughes and Wood out, admitted Studenic brought some of that after Saturday...AND STILL BENCHED HIM NEXT GAME! Lindy's certainly showing his...old-school mindset on that one. Although I wish he'd be more old-school and not fiddle with a winning lineup by the same token.

I want to give Nico time, I really do - he hasn't played a lot of hockey in the last couple years. There just isn't a lot of reason to believe he has another gear offensively at this point though.

I pretty much agree on Shara and Bratt, not surprised at all on Bratt at this point - he's basically in the he is what he is territory now. A guy who'll get everyone gaga when he has 15 points in 20 games and piles up the possession stats, then gets 4 points in the next 20 games, has stupid turnovers and needs the staff to put the boot up his fanny. Shara might have been reading his press clippings, hopefully this isn't a long-term issue. Kuokkanen's also been low-key dissapointing.

Entire team looked like garbage. Bratt has been terrible so far this year. I don’t see what makes fans of his think he is such a great player. He just simply is not a true top 6 player. He makes a flashy play once every 10 games and people think he is amazing. Yes he did well for where he was drafted but he just does not have the intensity or consistency and will to be a top line player.

Unfortunately the offense runs through jack and with him being out players like hischier Bratt are getting tougher matchups than normal still those guys need to pull their weight no excuse.

very happy with Mercer so far

I don't buy this. Nico and Bratt have played on a team as the guys before Jack ever was drafted and played way better then this as younger players.

They simply aren't executing. Bratt especially.

I have eyes.

Where do you keep your extra ones? If I leave them on the desk the liquid starts to ooze out. I have a jar for some of them but then they get all jumbled up. Where do you source yours from? The guy on eBay that scavenged them from those organ harvesting operations got shut down and the ones from the local Cemetary are sort of dry.

Just got home from the game and it strikes me. I'm sick of watching Bratt dipsy-doo with the puck, dart like a jitterbug and we come away with NADA.

Of Mice and Men. Just replace "the rabbits" with "Bratt". Some of us are George. Some of us are Lennie. I'm in the Lennie group.

“Tell me—like you done before.”
“Tell you what?”
“About the rabbits.”
George snapped, “You ain’t gonna put nothing over on me.”
Lennie pleaded, “Come on, George. Tell me. Please, George. Like you done
before.”

Still very early and not passing judgement yet but Nico has to pick it up . He knows this . It’s just a matter of doing it now . Bratt has always been a fringe player to me . I will gladly eat crow if he turns it around but I’m not seeing it .
