Weird. Nothing was stopping the other teams from keeping their own facilities open.

Exactly.

This feels like back during the Gillis era when him and his management team were doing all kind of out of the box ideas and instead of other teams saying "hey why aren't we doing that?" they stomped their feet and tried to ban everything.

I’d imagine there’s a higher likelihood of a Toronto player spending some or all of the offseason in town or nearby than, say, Columbus.

I don't know guys, we don't know all the details, and how much Toronto was pushing the boundaries because there are definitely rules governing the amount of contact teams can have with players in the offseason. And if they were using some technical way to get around it that goes against the spirit of the rules then they should close loopholes. We are quick to say its billionaires trying to save money but what if they are looking after players and do what is right?

It is the same as the back-loaded contract, they were right to change that rule... It was the Louango rule that was wrong.

What website do people use that compares players based on their advanced stats? It does projections on future value, and what percentile they rank and puts it on a chart.

In addition to that, can someone point me to good advanced stat websites as of 2020?

Rona looks to be doing Edmonton a huge favour so far with Chicago.

Feels weird seeing our coastline in another teams promotional video.

Also, if they do take over the Thunderbirds name as rumored, our logos will compliment each other very nicely.

Kraken would be best. Thunderbirds wouldn’t be bad either - but they certainly seem to be going with an oceanic theme here.

Sockeyes are a possibility too, I suppose.

Big Seattle NHL announcement tomorrow morning. I hope its the Sockeye but if its the Kraken the arena can at least be called the Krak Shak instead of the horrid pandering bs Bozos came up with

I kind of like "Sockeyes". The logo could be a salmon with a black eye.

It won't be Thunderbirds, which is too bad, because that team absolutely nailed it out of the park with their logo and uniforms. Just beautiful.

I'm guessing Sockeye, but I admit I've been impressed with a bunch of the concept Kraken stuff. Some talented folks out there.

Not a "Kraken" fan. If they go with that name, I'll just call them the Squids.

Anyone else see Philadelphia sign a top six forward to $3mx3?

Nice to see. Nice player

His prognosis was looking grim a short while ago, hope he stays healthy.

The Flyers have something brewing

Sockeye(s), kraken would be awful and the rest that are likely are boring. Evergreens, emeralds?!

With the ocean themed preview clip, gotta think it's either Kraken, Sockeyes, seamen, or something along those lines.
