It's pretty much over folks.
The season was torpedoed in the losing streak after the Winnipeg debacle in week 9. They peaked right before then on that great road trip... and then crashed hard.
They have managed to maintain a good pace since then, but have never been able to make up the points they lost in that set. They needed a 5+ game winning streak and never got one.

It is amazing how one bad week can ruin a season.
Had we gotten 5 instead of one that week we would have a much better chance to make it.

The 9th week definitely is the glaring reason but I feel some of the games where we lead and then went to OT/SO and lost were the reason. I feel every team has one bad week or two but as pointed out, we weren't able to get a 4-6 game winning streak.
I still don't give up until officially out but my optimism definitely took a "Mike Tyson right hook-right uppercut". Those BOS games will be huge now.
