Another good signing.
But they have no cap space next year.
Either they play without any D or they trade Kucherov for some future considerations.

Still expecting Tampa to sign Stralman for around 4-5m (depending on term) and move someone up front to find the cap space - especially with all the young forwards you have in your system. Replacing your 3D who's a RD is a harder thing to do. Girardi and Coburn meh, whatever. Some young guys can step in, and if it's not working make moves later on. But you need another good RD and Stralman is still a very good one to have around who can fill a lot of holes for you guys.

It’s possible but unlikely IMO. Even without resigning Stralman we’re already looking at having to trade Miller to keep everybody else, and that still might not be enough. If that’s the case we’ll have to move or buy out Callahan in order buy us a year until Killorn can be traded (unless he agrees to waive his full NTC a year before it goes to modified.) It’s doable, but if we wanted to keep Stralman as well we’d either have to trade Johnson or Palat (both of whom are key players who have full NTCs until 2021) or we’d have to ship off McDonagh before his full NTC kicks in (and surprisingly we have better replacement options for Stralman on the right than McD on the left.) Just don’t see it happening.

Trade Johnson, Miller or Palat.

Dump Callahan.

Easy
Dumping Callahan will cost a few picks.
Besides he, Johnson and Palat have NTCs.

So, go on..still 5M to go.

Oh, btw, have I mentioned that Point is on his last year of ELC?
What will he demand?
So you still need like 10M.

What about replacements? You need a roster size of 23.

They can easily move Killorn and Cally for an easy 10 mil.

Miller, id assume is gone, another 5.5 mil in space.

Nothing of great value lost.

The replacements will be easy. Not hard to replace Paquette and Callahan lol.

Tampa has a great Farm system and will always have good AHL talent on ELCs to fill NHL spots.

How the **** do they find these players. Never heard of him before last season and now is a key part of their club.

Oh and un-drafted too Jesus. TB is going to miss Stevie Y a lot unless Brisebois followed him like a puppy for the past few years.

Brisebois has alot more to do with these guys than Yzerman, brisebois is stealing every talent in the Q.

Callahan's coming into the last year of his deal, and the cap continues to rise. His contract isn't the massive anchor it was two years ago, and we should be able to move it if we need to. It'll probably be a similar price as when we moved Filppula. We should be able to work around Callahan's list. Callahan still has value on D and the PK, which is why it's unlikely we'll try to move him before we have to.

In other news, Gourde continues to shine.
