Both this and the Coleman trades are terrible for Tampa from a market value standpoint, but they're a bit better from an intrinsic value standpoint because there has historically been a market inefficiency for strong defensive forwards like Coleman and Goodrow. Still, both moves are a very bad look for Brisebois.

Definite over payment, but the Lightning need to inject some energy into their roster after some lackluster performances. I was at the Golden Knights vs Lightning game and the only thing they had going for them was Kucherov and Hedman playing catch on the PP and Vasilevskiy making some amazing acrobatic saves look easy.

Surprise surprise, once again GM's throw 1st round picks around like candy for players much worse than the ones people were arguing about. See everybody next year, same place same time for the exact same arguments!

It does go both ways though. Habs fans saying Kovalchuk would get a 1st +. Some Arizona fans saying it would take a blue chip prospect or young top 6 player for Hall.
