I want our guys to get some rest and be fresh for next season. I'm tired of that excuse.

Just got home from the big celebration and it was so much fun. The guys were all really happy though I got to say that StrÃ¥lman was probably the happiest, he was jumping around all over the stage. Can’t blame him though, he’s been playing for a while and this is the first time he’s won anything.

It's crazy how much more Europeans put weight into this tournament than North Americans. When Canada wins it you don't see anyone being this happy. But I'm definitely happy for Sweden and especially our boys.

impressed by swedens win

dont know what to think on russias loss blah

kucherov wasnt impressive to me thought he could play better imho lol

gusev was great loved it very happy for vasy he played hard still has work but we saw with 3 shutouts what he may become one day kid will be great and maybe pull something for us like nashville down the road

god knows we need it with out d

anyway watched a majority of the games super sick so had a lot of fun enjoying some hockey that actually meant something to me unlike the playoffs which still have no meaning even if pitt loses smdh which i said it was over when murray stepped on the ice and id bet a lot malkin ends ottawa like he did us cause they are no where near what we were

also pitt is not as strong imho as last year

waiting patiently on news regarding the bolts will let you all know if get any tidbits:)

missing hockey already lol

Is it safe to say Kucherov would have been the MVP had Russia won?

panarin had two more points than clutch gusev had another goal he played ok just ok he missed some opportunities imho he also wasnt trying as hard at points imho as he could defensively as ive seen him in past.

Think he got the tude at points imho in the tournament with missed opportunities by others where at times when his heads right (going back to the article) he wills himself to over come when we dont score so to speak.

He had effort yet he played to outside at times he didnt put full game on. He did have a couple break aways where he just skated past guys where I was like this kid has a new gear again.

Just seemed to be missing something? Maybe sticking head out to gusev? Gusev going back to his line he plays in russia? Gusev maybe leaking wont come to tampa? Something seemed off

now i for one am not buying into gusev not coming over I believe in the YZERMAN MAGIC and we could sure as hell use him when his contract is up so till I know it aint happening ill keep my peace and hope but something seemed to distract him at one point in the tournament.

RawCharge has an awesome translation/subtitles for a cool behind-the-scenes video of Heddy and some of his rituals for getting ready for one of the World Championship games! RawCharge LINK

Also ran across a Facebook video of Strålman being celebrated as an honored guest at the annual UPPåNER-festival in his little home town of Tibro (only about 8,000 people big). They played "Thunderstruck" as he and his honor escort of the entire Tibro IK team went on stage. :yo:

LINK to website with a nice write up with some great pics of the event.
