I understand this won't happen but would teams be better off?
Without knowing is Karlsson if fully recovered....and without knowing his contract demands? I stick with JT as a Leafs fan...and that's no knock on EK.I understand this won't happen but would teams be better off?
From simply need perspective, this would be good trade.
If Karlsson's defensive game was better, i would agree....but we have offense out the hooper, so i'm not sure he fills a big need. From simply need perspective, this would be good trade.
Both teams still refuse politely.
How so? Toronto needs a defensive defenceman.
I think when you get to the Karlsson level, you start ignoring the "ideal" list of traits. Karlsson would help more than Josh Manson even though the need profile for the Leafs is exactly Josh Manson, Karlsson is just that much betterHow so? Toronto needs a defensive defenceman.
Huh...i think i'd pass on both of those....It would need to be Burns for Tavares or Karlsson for Matthews.
From a purely needs perspective, yes, both teams would benefit.

It's gunna be a fun yearI think positionally it works better yes. But also I am so looking forward to the sharks kicking the crap out of the Leafs this year and that wouldn't be quite as fun without this story line
