You guys... you have to look at the team you're trading to. Does it make sense for the Oilers, a team that is struggling to even be on the playoff bubble, trade away 2 1sts and a 2nd for guys who they can't afford to sign?
Further, when you say a player is worth a 1st.. maybe to a playoff team they are. A team really close that only needs to make a few adds to get them into serious contention. Such a team's 1st rounder will be late, not potential lottery picks.
There is no chance you are getting that from the Oilers.
