I still think Talbot can be a good goalie for a team. As bad as his overall numbers have been, he has played some good games this season.

Watch Chia trade him to a team where he ends up doing well again and makes himself look foolish.
Interesting reclamation project. His cap hit is high though, right?
4.166M and then he is a UFA July 1st.
Not that I disagree, but moving him to Jersey would be doing what Chia did to him with Schneider and Kinkaid as well! What teams need a starter next year?
Carolina, Chicago, Detroit, New Jersey, Vancouver don't have rock solid #1 options next season.
They can't retain. They need cap space right nowThey'd retain 50% if a team offers a 3rd

He's a UFA this summer. You're not getting anything of value for talbot at full price
Interesting that Pete and the Oilers would handle it this way. Does Talbot even commend any value at this point? Fresh start?
Why would Edmonton do that? We just re-signed our guy moving into the future and we don't need a guy making Allen money as our backup. Would rather lose Talbot for free as a UFA this summer.Allen for Talbot???
Talbot will bounce back once he gets away from this organization and the inept goalie coach. A contending team should trade for him as insurance for the playoffs.
not too many teams have 4.1 in cap space for a backup goalieHe's a UFA this summer.
