He’s still the only one to pull it off twice against Brady

Technically that's true but Peyton has beaten Brady 3 times in the playoffs (winning the SB twice in the same playoffs) Flacco also beaten Brady twice. That should still count as the same as beating Brady in the SB unless your going to punish QBs for not playing in the NFC lol.

They should really have only 3 when you look at how the Seahawks didn't run the ball in Super Bowl 49 and the Falcons chocking in Super Bowl 51. If they lose those games their record with Brady and Belichick in the Super Bowl should be 3-5 and not 5-3.

And if the Giants didn't have Eli they would 7 SBs. I'm not sure what the point is.

Or if the on the Tyree catch the play is blown dead when Seymour and wilfork have Eli wrapped up and progress stopped. And Wes Welker dosent drop the ball late in the 4th quarter. Then they have 7 SBs

I have a feeling there are some big changes coming in NE (besides McDaniels and Patricia leaving). This might have been the last Super Bowl we see BB and Brady. If that's the case then it's been an amazing run that will likely never be matched.

Just a feeling...

Third ever 41-33 game, and first in the playoffs. Most recently, the Chargers beat the Broncos in December of 1960. And also, the Eagles defeated the Redskins in November of 1954.

I imagine Brady got another Super Bowl record. Most passing yards for a losing QB. Can anyone confirm this?

505 yards, 3 TD and 0 picks. Unreal.

No one has ever thrown for 500 yards in a Super Bowl, so yes.

Amazing. I knew their defense would do them in but damn. Eagles fully deserve this. Both offenses couldn’t get a stop until the Eagles defense did the play of the game and forced a fumble. Until that point, it seemed destined to end in another Tom Brady 4th quarter winning drive.

Those games were just a continuation of a trend with the Pats, where their opponents had every reason to win and then self-destructed. The 17-0 season alone, probably 4 or 5 of those wins were the result of inexplicably dumb plays by the opponent. That’s part of why the Tyree catch was so shocking.

Did they ever figure out what was going on with the kickers early on?

Was it the placement or colour of the logo on the field throwing them off, with both missing some easy PATs?

Reminded me of that Seahawks/Cardinals game when both kickers missed FGs in overtime.

I don't know why but this is cracking me up. Maybe it's just a journalist thing.

After the game, the cornerback didn't have anything to say as to why he didn't play in the biggest game of the season.
"I ain't got nothing to say," Butler told reporters in the locker room after the game...

Malcolm Butler: Patriots 'gave up on me' in Super Bowl

From the same story, also cracking me up.

It appears Butler's future in New England is at its end.

I think the Eagles have just proven that isn't the case.

Brady threw for 500 yards and lost. I’m not even sure Jimmy G would be able to lead them to a victory.

My point is Brady makes bill. Bill doesn’t make brady. Bill got outcoached bad tonight.

I don't get what's so funny?
Real stupid to not bring him in after the secondary was getting eaten alive. Patriots coaches can sure be stubborn sometimes.

Anyway love or hate them Pats in the Super Bowl= classic game.
Not quite as much drama as last year but it was a 60 minute effort from both teams that will probably never be matched in a SB.
Very likable team with a bright future so congrats to Philly

I'm thinking it's the crappy writing and not the message itself.

My big takeaway from the game, is that with the Eagles defense getting torn apart by Brady, Nick Foles stood in there, went shot-for-shot, blow-for-blow and basically score-for-score and straight up just beat Tom Brady. No frills, no funny business, no ridiculousness or stupidity. He just beat him. Brady laid in all his best shots, and it just wasn't enough. And that wasn't in the script for the Eagles.

Doug Pederson, also as expected imo, when it came time to make a tough call, wasn't scared to make it. The stage wasn't too big. He was ride or die with how he approaches the game, and that's the difference between guys like him and Sean Payton, and others, and guys wither when they're going toe-to-toe with the Patriots.
