Love this from Chris Long

"He's the king of the petting zoo. There are other GOATs and other farm animals, but he's like the biggest GOAT."

Long was a good, not great player for them.
Solid addition.

I hope they can find a way to keep Amendola.
He's not the player I wanted when he was brought in, but he's been the played they've needed.

He had a lot of impact on the few snaps he played, despite being manhandled by their O-line (including on some of the biggest plays) :handclap:

Can these newscasters just ****? They dont need to continue to babble constantly.

If they want to point out players.. fine. NO NEED TO CONTINUE TO TALK

If you go back and watch from when it was 28-3, truly amazing how many things had to happen. Hooper not hanging on to a catch. Chung somehow hanging on to that punt with his back to the play. Make a list of great plays and 50/50 plays. Just unreal.

And that one angle of matt ryan's throw to julio jones. A SB winning throw negated by atrocious coaching after that. If there were falcons fans, they'd be sick to their stomach.

Maybe the most impressive throw by brady was 3rd and 10 to hogan to start the last drive in regulation. Has 2 or 3 guys closing in on him and he delivers a strike in between two defenders. Brady was sacked 5 times, knocked down 11 and hit 16. And he still just keeps coming at you. Similar to how he still put the pats ahead against the giants in 18-1 season.

Thanks for sharing those pics, Alicat. It's nice seeing the media coverage of the parade, but it's even cooler seeing pics from someone that was right there.

Tickets for the game exceeded what I was willing to pay, but I did go down to the festivities surrounding the Super Bowl. I wore a Bruins shirt, which was a nice ice breaker to meet some of the visiting fans from New England.

The Falcons were staying at a suburban hotel (the Westin) about 10 minutes from me, and people were saying they basically had a police escort to the practice facility everyday. I didn't try that hard, but I never did discover where the Patriots were staying.

I've seen fans calling the Falcons' the greatest 'chokers' in NFL history, but I contend that title still belongs to the 92-93 Oilers. Sure the play calling was suspect when Atlanta could've kicked a field goal to go up by 11, but for the most part, their defense ran out of gas. They got no help from the offense, which struggled sustaining drives.

The Oilers choke, on the other hand, was an endless comedy of unforced errors. Botched punts, fumbled snaps on field goals, blown assignments, etc.

The game in itself, I'd agree. But you have to consider the stage as well. One was a wild-card game to maaaaybe get to the Super Bowl and get slaughtered by whoever the NFC sent (which did, of course, happen), the other had a team trying to win its city's second championship ever (in the team's second attempt) against a juggernaut.

On the other hand, I'd use both your argument and mine to argue that this was a better comeback than that game. First, it was the Super Bowl (that in itself should offset the difference in points), but second, it wasn't as reliant on the Falcons botching so many routine plays. Sure, they botched a lot of things (blocking Hightower, play calling, couldn't stop one of two two-point conversions, etc.) but not to that degree. I don't know if you'd consider that contradictory, but I don't think it is.

Deion Sanders alleges entire NFL knew the Colts were stealing defensive signals and nobody did anything about it. This was in response to Ladanian Tomlinson suggesting the Patriots championships will always be stained with an asterisk.

I must be missing something. As we all learned with spygate, doesn't every team? It's just a matter of how and where you are when you do it.

What's missing? Really?

I've read the article 3 times and I still don't even understand the allegations. What does he mean by "stealing signals"? The actual quotes provide no detail and are barely in English.

For example: “Come on, you don’t walk up to the line and look over here and the man on the sideline giving you the defense that they’ve stolen the plays of." I honestly don't understand what he's even saying there.

I think the point he was making, was that every single team does shady ****. Tomlinson can harp on Spygate and "put asterisks" next to the championships all he wants, but Deion is saying that it's not just exclusive to the Patriots.
