FIBA basketball is hilarious. No defensive 3 second rule or goaltending.
It's a good thing in regards to the defensive 3 seconds and something the nba should get rid of. Big men have to be able to switch onto smaller players or stretch the floor to not get played off the floor against certain teams. If you let them play to their strengths they'll be able to make a bigger impact again and the only players who suffer are the scorers who get tunnel vision in isolation. The no goaltending is also a good rule though i would make it so you couldn't do it on free throws.

Good start, but it's all gone downhill as expected now. The US team is simply too strong. Just hoping we can actually win the bronze medal game - we've had a few shots at it over the years, but lost every time.

I hope our boys win the bronze (i was born in Slo) but i can be happy for you if you guys take it.

Patty Mills feelin it tonight.

Honestly think you ll win this one, Slo looks exhausted and uninspired.

He is. Patty is super keen to get a medal. Always been a big thing for him to do well for Australia.

And, dare I say it, you may be right. Aus seem to have more energy and a little more desire.

And they're there. Australia's first ever medal in men's basketball at the Olympics! After finishing 4th four times. Great result. As you said, Slovenia looked a bit flat, but they put in a good performance and had a solid tournament. Well done to them.

This Olympics I've really enjoyed watching women's volleyball and the equestrian events, thanks to my niece who participates in both. I sure miss attending her and her brother's competitions now that they've graduated from high school.

What a game by the USA women’s basketball team! 7 straight gold medals.

Seeing Sue Bird and Diana. Turasi win gold again brings me back to the UConn glory days.

Dawn Staley did a damn good job with this team.

Congrats Team USA!

the women are like the men in that every game they play they basically have easily 12 of the 15 best players in the game on their side, and really most nights its 12/13

I feel terrible for that German chick who got given a bad horse in the pentathlon and went from first place to last place because it wouldn't compete.
