Which location does the mayor and council favour?

I love your arena as I like the older barns and not much left. Alot of history there and I catch the Trout there at least twice a year. I get it though, time to move forward with a new building and revitalize the franchise. Gonna miss her though! ;)

Be up your way Saturday for the tilt against the Trout.

I hear you. The principle reason for the debate involves location. Our new owner wants to build it on the outskirts of town on land he owns and others wanted it it to stay in the city core, while still others don’t want it at all. The addition of a casino is also a bone of contention for some.
I hear you about the arena but as you say onward and upward. You can’t stop progress. Also as much as the arena will conjure up nostalgia the fact is the team has had many more disappointments than celebrations in the old barn so a new arena could also be the genesis for as you say a revitalized franchise and (hopefully) a new winning tradition.
Maybe see you at the barn Saturday. Enjoy the game, just not too much :)

The whole process has been process has been one gigantic sh!tshow. Last update provided is that the appeal process on location will take longer than expected. While work has commenced a decision could set the arena back about a year.

City has already committed along with the Property Owners, Casino and Hotel (unconfirmed who) that the Site Preperation of the land will go ahead regardless of the status on the appeals process. At the moment lawyers from each party are finalizing some of the language in determining Costs split 3 ways to prepare the site for building. Site Preperation is critical prior to the decision derived from the appeals so that Building of the Entertainment Center, Casino and Hotel can begin immediately following the decision by the LPAT process. Despite all the stall tactics so far from the BIA and Anti Casino groups the project is still on schedule for the most part. Buildings should start going up prior to next summer.

Big game tonight with a big divisional matchup tomorrow against Mississauga. They played last night in London, are playing at home tonight and then travel to Sudbury tomorrow for what is essentially an afternoon game and short turn around. Really hope the Wolves come out gunning because they should be tired.

Yes but what does this mean for the Wolves Now ??? Does he have the option of not reporting to the Muskateers and instead to Sudbury in the event Paps can work some magic and convince him to do so ??

Seems he signed with USHL team; but if he had any interest in the OHL, the wolves have his rights to sign or trade

Why are so many NCAA players leaving their teams out all of a sudden?

Lizotte is going to be the death of me... he has got to be the worst on-ice official since Park retired... He looks totally clueless out there...

Nice goal by Murray.

And I may get chewed out for this, but it seems like Byfield just isn’t here right now, I was watching him when Saganaw scored they’re first goal, and he just seemed really lackadaisical... maybe it’s just me.

Watching Gilhula tonight ,we can't be faulted for believing how good our team would be with Giroux instead.Gilhula plays like a scared rabbit giving up the puck everytime possible contact occurs. He might be the softest player to don a Wolves jersey in a long time.Trade him if you can but I think there will be not much interest.

Back on track people! Would have been fantastic if Samuelson would have left college for Sudbury. Very unfortunate we couldn’t get him. As for the game some very weird line combos and for most of the night they seemed out of sync. Last 5 minutes and overtime was exciting wish that pace was all game. Hope for a victory vs Mississauga but it’s going to take a lot players being at their best.

Despite the first star, I totally agree with you, things are not clicking for Byfield.

While I'm not a fan of Gilhula at all, he's not even the softest player on the wolves, that honor goes to the gentle giant in Tabak.

Agree on both counts. Byfield is just fighting it at the moment and I would say there are others that are even softer than Tabak. What ever happened to tough defensive play and clearing the crease?
