Why don't we trade the rights to Emberson and Samuelsson if they will not play here. Recoup these picks to acquire a solid D and a scoring forward

They surely would for go college and head to London.
Exactly. Wasn't their last Mem Cup winning team loaded with so many non Canadians that Don Cherry called them out on it? Please don't call this league a development league when you allow the crap that London does.

Having a great coach that can win and develop players nhl teams want is not against the rules. It is the main reason London is able to recruit almost any player they choose.

Neither one of them have any interest in coming to the OHL at this time. If one was to decide to come it would be Samuelsson

That is a different discussion. $$$ to give up scholarships is the real story. The league turns a blind eye to London because of the money they put back into the league. Small markets cannot offer the perks. If you think that isnt the issue, why did Windsor get slammed with fines and lose picks. Because they got caught.

Someone should prove London is paying kids.
Every player has his education paid into OHL fund. Gold packages (include R&B) are limited, London incl.. Maybe, London & Windsor are paying that amount for all their 1st round picks acquired by trade; but, they can not be offering gold packages to their later picks, college de-commits & FA.
Kids and their agents/parents want them to go to a place that has a proven success rate. That is very fair. If they don’t get to their chosen destination, they can choose a different path. That is also fair.

Hmm..you really believe that London couldn't afford to pay players to give up scholarships? Do the math on sellout crowds in that arena night after night. Now add in playoff runs, it is totally plausible. Do you think it was a one off when Windsor was caught? Or was Windsor caught because it was doing what needed to be done to compete with London? I agree you need to win to build up the reputation that draws players. But to believe that London has multiple NCAA players year after year drop their scholarships and get nothing in return seems a little naive.

London certainly has $, though don’t have to pay players because the players are lining up for the opportunity to have Hunter coach them to the nhl where they will realize their dreams and make their $

Yes, you're right, if it wasn't for Hunter, Kane, Gagner, Carlson and many others never would have made it to the nhl. $$$

You clearly don't get it. Those top guys are not pursuing London...London pursues them.

I think it's a bit of both to be honest. There is a seriously mutually beneficial relationship when it comes to London and these top players.

Battista might be the worst ref I've ever seen and were only 15 minutes in this game.

One of the best full 60 minute effort by a Sudbury Wolves team that I could recall in 10 years! They did not stop skating, forechecking hard, following through on checks, limited scoring chances by clearing the puck away from the net on any rebounds, killed off 2 2 man power play attempts and for all three periods they did not run out of gas. Kudos to them for a total team effort and beating one of the best teams in the entire country. The game was wonderful to watch even if the officiating crew of Gill and Bautista took away from the game with several lame calls on Sudbury and non call both ways in OT. Talk about confusing the heck out of coaches and players in a game. Nice to see Stillman fired up on the bench.

Hutchison with two beauties and Levin with an OT rocket upstairs. Ukko cleaned it all up!
