That scene in the karaoke lounge was incredible.

And credit to Alan Ruck for bringing it tonight. Excellent performance.

His lines really carried the episode imo. The gojo deal stuff is hit or miss for me but I was chuckling pretty good at "Dad and I vs. you three"

Man, they hardly ever give any insight into their childhoods, but every once in awhile youll get a few lines here and there and man, with just those few lines they give you can learn so much about a character. The superb acting also helps.

Connor's whole speech at the karaoke bar said so much. This guy has clearly never received any type of love growing up. Logan is as cold as can be, and we now know that Logan was responsible for having Connor's mother sent to a mental hospital. Connor has always felt the odd man out with the other siblings. The man just wants someone to love him and appreciate him as hes never received that throughout his life (probably a reason why he wanted to run for president and is so bent on maintaining that "1%"). And due to this, its made him create a hard exterior that pretends hes okay with the fact that he is not loved by anyone. What a sad scene, but it really gave you a completely new look into Connor's character.

Really seems like Kendall doesnt give af anymore and just wants to watch the world burn. Who knows what his end game is, and if he really just wants to f*** over his dad to prove to him that hes a killer and had what it takes to do the top job.

Roman will never be able to fully disconnect from Logan. He is living definition of Logan kicking the dog that he loves just to see if it will come back. Roman will always come back to Logan no matter what he does, and will always find a way to brush over the abuse that he receives (even in this episode he mentions being hit as a kid and he agrees that it was fine because he was annoying).

I just finished season one, and watched episode 1 of S2. The show is AWESOME! I thought TLOU would be my new favorite show on HBO, but this one takes the cake.

Greg and Tom's interactions KILL me. I honestly have had some of my biggest laughs when those two are in a scene together. The bachelor party episode was hilarious. "It was so hot!" Then, Roman brings the escort as a date to Tom's wedding. Oh boy was I laughing for a while when Tom first saw her.

Connor is also a funny dude. Kendall is a mess. I really liked him at first. I thought he was the only one who could actually handle taking over the company until his drug addiction spiraled out of control. Roman's a cocky little shit. Logan is just cold blooded. I have a really weird attraction toward Shiv, especially when she was a red head. I like her feistiness.

So, yeah- this show is awesome. I haven't binged a show like this in a long time. Cutthroat, funny, and full of drama. Does it get any better than that?!

It's going to be tough avoiding this thread until I catch up.

For me my first episode was s4e1 and then I started working from S1 on. I'm on s1e6. Switching from season to season every Sunday is like a time warp. 😂

Everyone keeps hyping up this next episode saying it is the best, and that you should watch live if you dont want anything spoiled...

Can it be Sunday already?

Welp it finally happened.

There were a lot of signs leading up to this throughout season 3 and the start of season 4. In season 3 mattson asks Ken when his dad will finally die. The dinner scene between Kendall and Logan when Logan thinks Kendall might try and have him killed, Kendall goes onto explain that he never wants to see him die because he will be a wreck and blown into a million pieces. Season 4 premier you have Logan questioning what's after life.

What a performance by everyone. They did such an exceptional job showcasing the different emotions that you would be going through in that moment.

Ultimately Logan died ostracized from his family and alone. None of his kids were on terms with him, neither was Marcia. He died around his work people that all so desperately clung to him. Think that's the perfect ending for him. If he had put his kids wedding over his business he would have at least died around his children, but like we've seen time and time again, his business is his true baby.

Now we get to see the fall out and the downward spiral all the kids will be on. I think Roman will start blaming himself for the death, he will say his voicemail caused it. Kendall will be doing everything in his power to try and take hold of the company. The guy just can't help himself. I suspect he will burn many bridges to get there.

Sarah snook absolutely smashed it this episode. Wouldn't be shocked if she gets her Emmy for this.

What a great hour of tv. I had suspicions that Logan would die, but I definitely didn't expect it to be this early.

That was pretty much a perfect episode of television. The show's name - not to mention the series premiere - made this inevitable, but allowing it to happen in this way - Logan essentially dying off screen instead of in some grand way was such a great contrast to how his character took up so much space on the show and in his kids' lives. Everyone, from Culkin, Braun, and Snook to everyone else just nailed every single scene they were in. McFayden had Tom both terrified he had hitched his star to the wrong wagon and devastated for what he lost to do it (there's the scene where Shiv asks him about whether Logan is dead and his shoulders just completely sag in, and then he's on the phone with someone about releasing a statement and what's to make sure it's emphasized he was with Logan when he died). Snook should win an Emmy, and good luck to voters trying to choose between Braun, Culkin, and McFayden.

I heard an interview with the creators of The Americans years ago where they talked about how trained and savvy viewers are these days. We know the rhythm of shows and when big things are supposed to happen so it's hard to truly surprise many modern TV watchers. But they said there is one tool good creators still have at their disposal ... timing.

This episode was a stellar example of that. What happens is certainly something most if not all of us saw coming (the threat has been there since episode 1), but when and how it happens ... not sure many saw that coming.

Further, it's executed so well that you still spend half the episode thinking (like the kids) ... "he'll pull through." That's some god-tier playing with your audience there. In all the best ways.

Sets everything up for what will likely be a stellar close out to the series.

I thought, like most of us I'm sure, that he was just f***ing with the kids, trying to shock them into telling him they love him in some sort of twisted power trip.

Speaking from experience, you're never ready for conversations like that, even when you know they are imminent.

Masterfully conceived, acted, and executed by the entire crew.

So yesterday Connor's Wedding was sitting at a score of 9.9/10 on imdb. Today it has gone up to a 10/10 (cant say i disagree). 94% of votes on it are 10/10.

Ozymandias and Battle of the Bastards for me. In terms of pure acting, this may be up there. Definitely a candidate for the 2020s.

Of course theres recency bias but I really think that might have been the best episode of TV I've witnessed
