Subban. Love him if hes on your team hate em when you're playing vs him.

Dirty play. The fact that it was coincidental holding penalties is where they ****ed up. That shouldve been an Avs PP.

Apparently Montreal players didn't like him on the team.

How the hell is this a thread?

Does every minor roughing need a thread?

Why is this a thread? Because what Subban did isn't a hockey play.

It's freaking stupid how the rules change every single game in the playoffs. You can't go around punching someone in the head. That isn't physical hockey, that is dirty hockey.

NHL is the only league in the world that protects their grinders and dirty players more than their stars. No wonder the ratings suck for hockey. People watch sports to see talent, not to see dirty hits go unpunished in the name of playoff hockey.

Reilly punched pasta in the face last night, no thread.

Sure and there were plenty of things Marchand did that should have resulted in like 3-4 penalties that didn't get called. That's the point. Call it like is. Don't change the rules because its the playoffs.

Chara crosschecked Matthews several times in front of the net 4 ft away from the refs when the puck was no where near him. They just let things go.

It's stupid that it would result in a call in the regular season but they just let it go in the name of playoff hockey.

Teams that are known to be physical seem to get a lot more help from the refs than teams that rely on speed.

Shoulda been a penalty but let’s chill with the suspension talk.

Crosby literally grabbed Subban’s head & dribbled it off the ice & didn’t get a penalty.
and you forget what PK did to deserve it. PK did nothing
and the Preds did nothing in response cause they knew PK got what was coming to him. One of the reasons why Sid got the CS.

Doesn't explain why this needs a thread. It was barely a 2min roughing if anything.

I don't get how people say "dirty, but no suspension"

The game was out of hand at this point, wasn't it? I understand just calling it a 2 or a 5 when somebody like Perry makes his dumbass hit If his sole intent was to damage an unsuspecting player with a punch to the back of the head, how is it not at least fine worthy?

People do realize that every once in a while, guys actually get hurt by plays like this? I feel like people see a play that is not quite as bad as the Kadri hit on Wingels, and even if it injures a player, it's "dirty, but not suspension worthy." Why is that how it works? How does that make any sense?

Straight up UFC move to a guy that is not expecting a punch coming, total classless dirt ball move again by Subban

Actually, punching an opponent in the back of the head is illegal in the UFC, and your opponent is always suspecting that you will be looking to render them unconscious or force them to submit.

I was pretty steamed by this initially, but I think it's pretty clear he hits MacKinnon in the upper back. Nate's head whips back, not forward, which backs this up.

Definitely mean.

Not exactly dirty.

No way this is a suspension, why all the calls for suspension these playoffs?

The saltiness is real - though come to think of it the Doughty suspension has created a victim complex for any perceived slight.
