I may have missed one or two of the 241,566 posts, but is there anyone who seriously thinks Subban deserves to get only $5.5??

In fact, I'd guess it's a small minority who think he deserves less than $7.5.

For the 2 RFA years, it will probably be in the $6-7M ballpark and then go to $9-10M for the UFA years of his contract. That would give him a total of $68-74M if he signs for 8 years ($8.5M to $9.25M cap hit).
