It was nice to hear some ice time numbers for Morin. I read a while ago that the AHL does track ice times, but the NHL teams keep it secret.

"Quite honestly, if I'm a betting man we are going to have 1 or 2 of the young guys up with the Flyers at the beginning of the year and as the year goes on maybe even more."

:handclap:

I'd say Provorov, Leier, Konecny and Morin are the four young guys with good shots to make the team out of camp.

My best guy is that Provorov and Konecny make the team out of camp as long as they don't fall on their faces.

If we don't add anyone in the summer via free agency, Leier makes the team.

Morin makes the team by the deadline of next season when Schultz and/or Streit are traded.

Umberger will be bought out. Gagner, Medvedev, and Manning will not be resigned. White i'm not so sure about, but I hope they let him walk because Hakstol overuses him.

That frees up 3 forward spots in the top 13 and 2 defense spots in the top 7.

I also hope White walks. But i have a feeling he's resigned. Id like Medvedev to get another year, hes a very good #7 to have if he cant crack the lineup every night. Also, give him a break, he's just a rookie ;)

I have no idea what Medvedev's contract demands would be or if the Flyers want him back. But trading Streit for a pick, or MacDonald for a large forward contract like Moulson would open up a spot on the defense next season for Meddy.

I'm surprised. Prices for full season are about $30 per game in 200's. I'd be all over that if I lived closer.

Lowest are $35/ticket. In the end they don't shoot at twice, only (this under the new pricing structure) and all the way up top. I sit in the end they do shoot at twice, but somehow I fell into some grandfather clause given to those who had the tickets before me, and my prices don't get hiked up as much if at all. I'm one of the lucky ones apparently, neither I nor my rep knew about it until I told him that my seats would be going up $10/game under the structure (should've only been $3).

And you'd think you'll be all over that until you see what they go for on StubHub. People make fun of teams like Florida for having really cheap seats, well I can tell you that a lot of weekday games in January in Philadelphia aren't far off that mark. I'm content with what I have, but if someone asked me I'd be hard-pressed to suggest they become a STH when they can scope out StubHub for $22 seats on the day of the game. By the way, pre-season is full price, so I'm down 15% before we get to opening night.

White is very undisciplined, or at least takes a lot of penalties. I don't know if we're taking more than we did with Berube last year, but last I heard we were leading the league. It was a big reason why Hartnell was dumped. Hakstol has little tolerance for undisciplined play (not that most coaches don't already). I don't think White will be back. Would rather just move on. This is a team that is very probably going to miss the playoffs two years in a row, and likely won't have many changes on the NHL roster. There's a spot that can be improved on in free agency at a reasonable price.

You forgot Schultz getting traded for a 5th. I don't expect Meddy getting another chance back here next season. I don't see AMac being traded, but I sure hope so. Tis why I don't think we have room for Meddy.

Gudas
Streit
AMac
Provorov

Morin comes up at some point once the deadline comes and one is moved.

Winnepeg might be the only team in the league that doesn't need a big skilled defenseman who shoots right.

I just wouldn't want to give up anything major for Trouba. Maybe just unload picks in front of them with fillers of Read + Hagg

I'd love to have him, but I have no idea what the package would even start at for him.

Well I would definitely start with out 1st rounder this year at the draft. After that, I have no clue. He is supposed to want a large deal. Maybe his demands are that high because he isn't interested in playing there? I believe someone commented on that actually.

I don't know why Winnipeg and New York Islanders don't make the Hamonic for Trouba swap. Supposedly it's because of those demands.

Maybe MDZ+1st rounder for Trouba?

No clue honestly.

I wonder how long Hextall has planned out until we start using the "win now, all eggs in the basket mentality" instead of "Patience". I'd have to figure it would be in 2-3 years as he mentioned the plan going forward.

The issue might be Trouba needs a new contract and he's still ELC.

Yea, I touched a little upon that a little in my post. Reports I believe were he wanted over 6 million per on a 6 year deal. Then some speculation came out that his demands were that high maybe because he isn't happy being there.

He is someone I would easily make my #1 target if he was available. Just have to work out a fair deal for both sides(which mine probably wasn't)

We always over value though. Big trades very rarely return what fans want.

A good GM never has that mentality. He can buy rentals, but he should never put the future at risk. That's how you lose a job.

If Hextall is smart and continues to draft well and make smart acquisitions, he'll have a VERY long and successful GM career.
