People laugh at Carolina, but they are no joke. If the Bruins can get through Columbus, it will be a coin flip of we can take out Carolina and it probably goes 7.

Carolina is no joke however they benefited hugely from a longer series with the Caps. Isles couldn't find their scoring touch in the first 2 games at all after that long break.

I do feel a bit sorry for the Blues, because they are the only team from the 1967 expansion that has yet to win a cup.

Philly, Pens, LA (finally), and then there's the Minnesota North Starts which merged with Oakland-that-had-moved-to-Cleveland, then the franchise moved to Dallas where they won all the marbles.

Maybe someday we'll have a Blues/Leafs final, where the Blues get a cup. :D

If we do get to the finals, there's now a good chance we'll have to go through either Seguin or Thornton to do it.

The ghosts are stirring.

The Thornton vs. the Bruins for the cup story-line is especially intriguing IMO. We could call it the Captain series, where we have both Bruin captains of the past 17 years (Thornton 2002-2006) and Chara (2006-present).

all 4 wild card teams are still alive and could all possibly make it to the conference finals.

better not happen.
