way too much freaking out after loses... way too much confidence after wins. the truth is that there are two good teams in this series and either one can get a bounce or two and win the next game... or they can just play perfect hockey and end up in some low scoring contest that goes to triple overtime... or they can make a few mistakes and run up the score too...

we don't know... 10 hockey 'experts' can give us their opinion and the three that are biased against the bruins will support Chicago... the 3 biased against the hawks will support the bruins... the other 4 will probably support whoever just scored the last goal

its really no way to know if we will ultimately win this or not... but everyone that was saying julien needed to be fired... and that our team didn't have a chance... well obviously, they don't know what the hell they were talking about.

im proud to be a bruin fan even if they lose 1 or 2 games in the finals. we are in the freaking finals 2 of the last 3 seasons now. I still feel strongly we are the better team and deserve to win. I am going to keep cheering and hoping for the win.

but I sure am not going to dump all over this team if somehow they come up second best to what is a very damn good Chicago team

there will be a deserving winner of the cup no matter which way the next 3 games go

just would really really love it if it was us that wins
go bruins go

Crouton the bottom line is not if we came back ! It was that we lost cause the defense was garbage . No prizes for nice combacks

Fair enough but are they likely to play another one like this? I think not. Chicago's defence and goalie didn't look like a team that lost only 7 games during the regular season. These things happen no pint dwelling on it. Move on and come back with your best game.

Who is making excuses? Aren't we doing the opposite?

"This was Bostons worst game...handed it to the Hawks...everyone was terrible..."

It's almost like they didn't lose because Chicago was creating a lot of offense and was really clicking...nope, it was because Boston was bad.

Boston got 5 goals, it definitely wasn't their worst game. You have to sacrifice some defence to create offence.

This IS a worse loss b/c it came at home; we seemed gassed; we blew some opportunities in play and in taking advantage of Chicago having only 5 dmen; we now have to win another road game(s), but...

our team game is better than Chicago's team game;
Tukka's usually a good bounce back goalie; and
the Bruins will come back strong after thinking about this loss for two days

most people thought this would go six or seven anyway,

Tuukka's record when when he gives up 4 goals is phenomenal he has a Gaa average close to 1 he will be awesome Saturday.

I think you are confused by the word "excuse."

Who are you again?

Chicago created opportunities no doubt, but Boston's defense was pathetic tonight, one of their worst games all season.

I'm crushed. But oh well.. I am confident we will play our game Saturday.. This team will be ready, and our boys don't mind playing on the road. They are road warriors and with less expectations playing on the road.. Saturday night is alright for a spoiler.

You know they were talking about how Boston cheats in face-offs before the game today especially Krejci. Watching the game Handzus was constantly pointing out to the ref that his feet were in the face-off circle, it threw him off. We lost a lot of possession time because we lost too many face-offs

This game seemed like a statistical outlier, Hawks overachieved and Boston D took the night off. Game 5 will be the regression toward the mean game and things will be back to normal. Boston returns home for Game 6 with a 3-2 lead.

God bless you, your family, friends and your dog. You are welcome here anytime.

Putting Peverley out there on his off wing as the face off insurance at the end was just plain stupid, IMO.

Kelly needed to move to left wing or Seguin should have been replaced on RW. If you are going to play it smart, play it smart for ****'s sake. Otherwise let it go. They messed with the rhythm of this line all night.

Hated the coaching tonight from the Bruins bench.

People blaming Rask for 6 goals are insane. Literally tell me how much of a chance he had on goals 2-5?

this rask out played Crawford by a mile. We basically got all the bounces and breaks to give us a shot. Its very painful for two obvious reasons 1-we were in Ot in a game we didn't deserve to be in and couldn't steal it 2- if we do steal it we got a 90 percent shot at winning the series now 50 at best

This Blackhawk team is great though so anyone expecting it to be easy is crazy ---back to the drawing board and hope we can take two of the next three

That is why it is painful when you consider we could have been up 3-1 against a very good Chicago team.

Wow, 2 ot goals away from a sweep, now it's best 2 out of 3.:shakehead If you knew going in the B's would get 5 tonight, how many would have taken Chi? Rask allows as many tonight as he had in his previous 5 games combined. Totally speechless. They just seemed to panic tonight after going down and took way too many chances early. Need to really refocus for next game.

Another great game from the Bruins and Hawks!

Quenneville should get a lot of credit for making adjustments. Toews looks awake and Duncan Keith is amazing. Saad continues to look dangerous. Plenty of weapons.

Bruins still have my confidence. Win or lose, this series has made some Boston legends. That the Hawks are worthy will make victory so much sweeter if it happens.

No one said it would be easy this is a 6 or 7 game series without a doubt, whoever plays their style will win, if we let Chicago dictate this style we lose no matter how our D is playing. This is not the system Claude designed. If they can steal the next game they have an opportunity to close it out at home if not they need to bear down and win the home game for an anything can happen game 7 not ideal but no team has played more game sevens than this one.

First shot on Crawford on Saturday, do you go blocker side to try to catch him cheat or go glove and see if you can shatter his confidence?

Keep in mind, with the way the B's have started these games, that shot will likely come 8 minutes into the 2nd
