So did anybody come out today? Clarkson, Cizikas, Strome, Jordan Subban and Mcdavid and the Ritchie brothers weren't there today and I didn't see Colaiacovo there either. But Tavares, Skinner, Giordano, Spezza, Sam Gagner and Malcolm Subban were there and I got a picture with Gagner and Giordano and an autograph from Giordano and a Tavares rookie card signed so it was worth going out to. Come next week, its from 6pm-7pm and most of the guys arrive at like 5:30ish.

ritchie used to come out to weekly wednesday skate here in orangeville but stopped showing up a couple of weeks ago... I guess this explains where he went haha i wanna check it out! It'd be cool to see what random **** these guys try in a meaningless scrimmage with some more purely skilled linemates

This reminds me of the 12-13 lockout season. It was exam season (mid December) and I had gone home for a few days to get some legit studying in. My grandpa was playing pickup with his firefighting buddies once a week in the early afternoons at Oakville Ice Sports (where BTNL is located). He told me to take a break from studying and come out and watch his game, see some buddies, and watch NHLers.

Anyways, we pull up the arena, I step out of our truck and I'm walking into the arena beside Kessel and Kaberle so I was talking with them, told Kaberle I grew up basically idolizing him. Went in to watch and I'd say there were at least 25 guys out there including locals Trevor Cann and Steve Mason. Future Leaf (at the time) Jay McClement, Clarkson, James Neal, Simmonds and a bunch of others. I had pictures with a few of them and videos of their scrimmages. I honestly can't remember all of the players that were there unfortunately.

As some of you probably know, Ice Sports is home to 4 ice pads, so they had one taken up for drills/scrimmage and an hour earlier Neal and Clarkson were doing some power skating on one of the other pads.

Long winded, but it was a cool experience!

Really? Wow that's actually pretty sick, not gonna lie. Its always fun seeing NHL players playing at your local arena and being able to actually meet them, definitely a good experience.

Well, I just got there. So a bunch of dudes with sticks in hand heading in from afar, but couldn't get there before they all got inside, nor could I recognize any of them.

EDIT: Now some more heading in but I couldn't quite make out who they were once more.

Seems as if there are less "recognizable stars" coming every week. I could only recognize a couple of stars. Spezza, Giordano, Skinner, Mcdavid, Subban, Coliacovo, Stuart Percy, Strome, Brett and Nick Ritchie as well.

I also saw Jordan Szwarz, Kyle Palmieri and Casey Cizikas. Also, one dude in a Canucks lid and a d-man with an Isles lid (#24), but didn't recognize him.

All I can say is Hallelujah Clarkson changed his equipment up a bit.

What a dud in that warrior equipment, same with Lupul last year.

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up that I saw some of these guys again at Vic Johnston arena in Streetsville (which is in Mississauga) yesterday at 7pm. Apparently they'll be there again next Sunday at the same time then after that I heard they'll be there on Wednesdays at the same time (last year they were there from 5-7pm so I'm not 100% sure on the time this year, although a few people said 7pm). This time I saw Mcdavid, Spezza, Tavares, Sam Gagner, Ryan and Dylan Strome (don't believe Dylan was there last year), Cizikas, Anthony Deangelo, Nick and Brett Ritchie and Mark Giordano and there were some guys that were wearing what looked like European pants (noticed the ads) who I didn't recognize. Didn't see the Subbans or Clarkson this time around so maybe they'll be back on Wednesdays. Either way I just wanted to give you guys a heads up so if you have a chance go check it out. I got a picture with both Mcdavid and Dylan Strome which I was super excited about haha.

Used to see Clarkson and Lindros all the time at Markham Ice Sports. They occasionally play Mens A League there. Clarkson was talking about possibly joining the Leafs during his final year with the Devils.
