That's pretty cool. I would imagine just a bunch of local guys playing some hi tempo pick up.

I know a lot of the Windsor area guys (pros, jrs) skate together in the summer - not sure when or where now.

Quite a while back now, the summer pick up group I played with, skated the hour after a group including Aaron Ward, Jovanovski (and his brother), Boughner, and others.

Yeah it seemed pretty high tempo, they were finishing their checks and going pretty hard. Like I said P.K. Subban almost got injured off a blocked shot.

That's pretty cool man to see Ward, Jovanovski and some other guys play too, hell any time you get to see some pros and especially young and up and coming talents like I saw its awesome.

Lol, I thought the same thing as your brother. They will drive up on Wednesday see a **** load of cars and people and just drive away and find another rink. You were in a damned if you do/damned if you don't situation. Oh well, who knows though they may enjoy the audience as long as nobody gets in their faces.

The parking lot was already full and there were AT LEAST 100 people there watching them and they weren't even getting swarmed on their way out. Just some people stopped some of them but not many at all to be honest.

In Hamilton where I live there is a 4 on 4 league a bunch of guys play in to keep in shape in the summer... Bieksa, Spencer Abbott, Cory Conacher, McGratton (guy is a beast) a bunch of AHL/Euro/OHL guys, seen Darnell Nurse out there a few weeks ago.. pretty cool to see up close... always amazed on how fast they really are, and how hard they pass the puck, and you are right about the competitiveness, those guys can't turn it off...

Haha nice. Like I said, 6pm-7. And there were roughly 100 people there and not many people really swarming them for autographs and pictures surprisingly.

By the way guys no promises from me that everyone I listed will be back there for sure next wednesday, but I know the Richie brothers and I think P.K. said they go there every wednesday so I'm just going based on that. Also my dad called the arena and asked the management about it and apparently they said they'll be coming back for 2-3 more weeks then thats it at least for this summer anyway so if you can get out there then I suggest going.

I don't know why, but I wouldn't be able to go and enjoy the experience, I'd need to ruin it for the professionals!

In any case, I'm four hours away and won't be going. Also, I think it's really neat that high-caliber NHL players are in the GTA during the off-season. Nice to know they're staying close to home, although it's a shame they won't suit up for their hometown team!

I got Spezzas autograph and a picture with him though. P.K. wasn't there today, neither was Tavares or Clarkson. But I got a picture with Ryan Strome and Carlo Colaiacovo.
