SJ wins both deals in my mind.

Donato > 3rd
Dubnyk > 5th

Yes, Dubnyk doesnt really upgrade SJ goaltending a ton, but he only has 1 year left and buys their young goalies more time to develop. Not bad.

The Sharks are now running the two worst starting goalies in the league as a tandem. It arguably makes it worse, for more money.

Not having Dubnyk on the Wild is a win for the Wild. A buyout would have been a win for the Wild, and this way we don't have dead cap space next year.

Only $2.5m in salary. That caphit isn't great though. San Jose now have $10.083m committed to Jones ($5.75m) and Dubnyk ($4.33m).

I am surprised that Dubnyk had such low value, but I guess it makes sense with the state of the market and how bad of a year he had.

I feel like he should have brought a similar return to Allen, but maybe the market was so saturated at this point that Guerin took whatever he could. Surprised it took this long to complete if that's all he went for.

The reporter isnt someone ive ever heard of so I dont think its confirmed at all.

People are saying she’s an athletic writer so I doubt it’s hot air being put out there.

Whatever if the mods feel it should still be a rumour I can change it back

3rd and a 5th for Dubstep and Clamato. Not bad.

This is a cap dump for Minnesota and San Jose is hoping for a come up. Hopefully he can regain a bit of his past and keep Jones out of some games.

She is a Wild beat reporter. But I don't think it's fair to say confirmed.

Russo was apparently on Sirius and said Dubnyk + pick for a Pick. Unclear if that's Dubnyk +4th for 5th or Dubnyk + 7th for 5th.

Dubnyk did have 31/35/40/32 wins the 4 years before this past one. Some on here have short memories. He also 27 wins in 39 games in 2014/15.

The Wild have the best defensive team in the league, and have for about 6 + years. They've masked Dubnyk's flaws for a long time. The decline has been 3 years in the making.
