Should the NHL adopt the NBA's new jersey system?

Would the Islanders city themed jersey also be the vintage one? The Fisherman would incorporate both technically unless you want something Uniondale or Hempstead themed specifically. That’s a whole different ball game.

Average regular season viewership per game, 2020 - 2021 regular season:
NBA: 1,340,000
NHL: 391,000

So no, the NHL doesn't have nearly enough fans to buy that many varieties of jerseys, regardless of how cool they'd look. Maybe one day the NHL will be able to fit in its big-boy britches - and then sell them.
