Just got back from the game, was a pretty laid-back affair, you could tell the boys weren't really going all out. Nice to get the 2 points, hope we have our legs back for the Pens.

5 games in 8 nights. 5 wins. The allstar break can't come soon enough. The boys need a well deserved rest.

I'm honestly okay with Jumbo getting credit for the goal. Jumbo doesn't have many games left and points are hard to come by the way he's playing. It's one point closer to moving up the all time lists. Timo will be fine. He was on pace for 35-40 goals and if he ends up with 25-30 then that'll lower the contract demands. The Sharks need all the cap space they can get.

Interesting that Heed played over Ryan. Heed's had a lot of blunders over the past few games...but he moves the puck well. Ryan doesn't seem to be learning from his mistakes; maybe there is some frustration from the coaching staff.

Not sure I buy that. Ryan looked pretty good to me when he played the last few games. Heed was the one out of position. Granted he wasn't awful but I thought Ryan was the safer play. Unless they really want Heeds amazing shot in the lineup.

Jones is a very different goaltender without Vlasic and Braun turning pucks over and blowing coverage in front of him. Still has some trouble with shots up high but those chances are far fewer without those 2 boneheads out there.

Jones is looking solid. This is good for the team.
This was a tough game to get up for, our guys found a way. Scoring from all lines is a big positive.
Pavs is unbelievable. He needs to teach Labanc.
Here come those Penguins.

Go Sharks!!

Crafty old fox, Jumbo, did touch the puck right on the heel of his stick. At that moment, the puck was right off the front tip of Nilsson's skate.

He's been very slow lately. Hopefully he's pacing himself and taking his geritol every day. Still, having the most worn down wheels in the league, he's exceeding my expectations.

Solid game for Jones. Probably his first steal of the season as his teammates didn't seem up for the game. At times Burns looked like he was skating in the park on a Sunday. Looks like Jones only received the 3rd star of the game. Deserved the 1st star.

Martin Jones moved into 2nd for wins, behind Fleury. Looking forward to surpassing him.

i hate those high stick plays. i think if a player can high stick it to themselves then more power to them.

There'd be too many sticks hitting heads and necks and faces. I always wince when I see someone flailing around with their stick way over their head.

It seemed like they were frustrated with Heed at the end as well, as I don't recall him being out in the last 10min or so of the 3rd. They are going to need a more consistant presence from the 3rd line as Burns and Karlson can't keep going into the upper 20's TOI every game.

Braun seemed OK last night and got 18+ min of work not bad coming off IR for a lower body injury. Didn't get mentioned much but that's a good thing for him as he only gets mentioned when things go wrong. Hopefully when Vlasic gets health he can go back to basics and just concentrate on D instead of whatever he was doing before he's already got the contract, he doesn't need to put up the numbers (other than a reasonable +/-).

On the whole the team D seems to have figured it out lately. The forwards are playing more responsibly when a D-man pinches and they are sniffing out the long stretch plays better. When the other team is cherry picking at our blue line, we now have a man or two covering.
