when I see this thread at the top, during the winter time, I shit my pants

Agreed. As someone who loathes the winter and wants to move back to Florida, when I see his thread at the top, I immediately start to get angry, lol.

National Weather Service just issued the Winter Storm Watch (Lower Westchester/Bronx)

Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 12 to 17
inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph, especially
along the coast.

Nassau/Brooklyn/Staten Island area is targeting 8-14 inches.

When Lonnie Quinn goes on camera with his sleeves rolled up then we’ll know shit’s about to get real.

Spot on . Touché. Lonnie makes 75 and sunny into a drama fest. I like the old school weather report. 15 seconds tops . Todays world starts with the lead story, 27 people killed in a massacre but first here’s the weather.

Hope we get at least 12" of snow, my power goes out so my WFH efforts are thwarted, and 6-10' nor'easter swell. Just no freezing rain and/or frozen pavement.

European models much more accurate then the weather models here.

I'm not a weather expert like so many others here, but I will say that I've always been glad snow comes down gradually, a flake at a time, rather than the whole blanket darkening the sky and coming down all at once.

Not liking the trends for big snows on LI. Think it’s gone from a 10-16” thing to a 2-8” across the island, most in NW Suffolk where there’s a little elevation, least immediate south shore and east end

Then changes to sleet, maybe a bit of rain. Possibly ends as a bit of snow, but nothing crazy

No chance in hell anymore of 12-18. More like a 3-6 event for the Island with it changing to sleet after dark. Sad.
