1. Glad the storm surge wasnt as bad as projections but people need to understand all forecasts are made in good faith and sometimes they're slightly off. Truth is, we may never know the extent of the surge in places along the coast/marsh because no buildings (if there were any) were tall enough to show 20 feet of water.

2. Definitely some nasty weather this evening, continuing to drop from north west to south east, biggest punch with storms in suffolk but there were some tornado warned storms up north but we're starting to see them blow up across the sound and getting closer to nassau and the city over the next two hours - plenty of wind, possible small hail and even still a tornado is possible. It's gonna be a bumpy ride this evening.

When it comes to winter weather, my go to is this thread. Are the experts willing to weigh in on next week and possibly Christmas week?

Chance of snow next week, first accumulating snow possibly. Nothing major though....few other storm potentials into Christmas week but not a ton of cold air around so the storm tracks would have to be just right for snow...but there are a few potentials out there to keep an eye on...

That's exciting, it's been years since we've had a major snowstorm, hope it tracks right on top of us.

Just a decade ago they were a regular occurrence.

Lot of snow, lower westchester, city, LI could all see up to a foot of snow. Things still changing, snow totals could still move up or down a bit, but it’s def going to be a huge snow storm.
News 12 appears to be way off or not. They’re calling for a mostly rain event.

Everyone is all over the map on this one (pun intended)

This is one of those storms which will/can wobble and change LI/NYC area snowfall very quickly.

Bones' prediction - between rain and 24" possible.

How's that?

Weather.com and Accuweather are usually the most accurate. Also once Weather.gov releases the winter warning alerts their numbers are pretty accurate. The storm warnings should be coming out within the next 24 hours.

With how good of a playoff run Bailey has had it has been too damn long to read an anti Bailey post from you.

Maybe just tie an anti Bailey remark in your next post? I need it to keep me going.
