What? And lose the respectful handshakes after a loss? Heresy!I think this might be Toronto's year. I have a feeling they are going to win one series this year.
SICK OF IT.Kudos to you for calling out that BS.
Not allowed. You're a racist now.
We need somebody to be a Tkachuk level rat on Doughty. He seems old (by NHL standards) and crotchety from so much experience. If someone agitates him his gane can fall apart and he will take penalties out of frustration.
Then we have maybe the weakest PK (16th in the league) in the playoffs against the best PP in NHL history.
Furlatt is kinda a goof, but I'll take it over many alternatives. I was certain Lee or Kozari was coming our way.Referees
Trevor Hanson (14), Eric Furlatt (27), Kyle Rehman (10)*
Oil combined record this year under them is 6-3-2
Hanson - 5-1-1
Furlatt - 1-2-1
teams home winning % with these 2 refs is 58% and 66%
That would indeed be their franchise-peak achievement in the past 20 years... (and I think the last time they won three playoff rounds was 1932).I think this might be Toronto's year. I have a feeling they are going to win one series this year.
heh...make it 2-10...coupled with the fact they lost another OT game to go 2-9 in OTI'm not sure how much better the Oilers can look going into the playoffs....14-0-1 is a ridiculous way to end the season
the key is winning Game 1, last year Smith threw it away so the Oilers record in Game 1s is a atrocious...they haven't beaten a non-Ducks team since 2003!
2003: Beat Dallas in Game 1
2006 Round 1: Lost to the Red Wings
2006 Round 2: Lost to the Sharks
2006 Round 3: Won vs the Ducks
2006 Final: Lost to the Canes
2017 Round 1: Lost to the Sharks
2017 Round 2: Won vs. the Ducks
2020 Prelim: Lost to the Hawks
2021 Round 1: Lost to the Jets
2022 Round 1: Lost to the Kings
2022 Round 2: Lost to the Flames
2022 Round 3: Lost to the Avs
that's a 2-9 record in Game 1s and both wins against the Ducks
one other thing.... Korpisalo was excellent and out-duelled Skinner, especially when it was 2-0 and in OT
Skinner needed to squeeze that game-tying shot
Oilers outplayed LA for 80+% of the game IMO, but I hate their style and the way they don't get called. I was flabbergasted at how many people called this a quick series when the last two games were so tight lol. This was the one team I didn't want to play. I think sans Avalanche we wouldn't have much trouble with the other possible Western teams.
RIP to this legend. Was one of the best fans in the crowd.Feeling really confident. Our guys got this, predicted Oilers in 5 because I just feel refs will hand one win for LA just because.
Need to live in the heat of the moment like this guy.
