Wasn't Quennevile the one that wanted to get the old team back together which led to Panarin being sent out of town?

I think it had more to do with losing Hossa and Stan needing to solidify Toews' line. I don't think Q advocated for Panarin to get traded at all.

It’s from listening to Denis Potvin. Ones brain just can’t continuously filter that much insanity for anything longer than 6 minutes without shutting down.

Kinda like why you always get sleepy visiting your grandparents. That and the heat being jacked to 85 degrees in July.

I feel the southern belt teams have the worst color guys.

personally, I still see the Rangers as front runners for Panarin.

If Panarin wanted the glory; why go to New York? The Rangers are an afterthought to the Knicks and the Jets/Giants. If you want true glory in the NHL, you go to Montreal -- that is the hockey mecca of the world.

They could pay him more than any other team too. He would have ended up here if Markov and Rads were here still; I think that the Russian bridge has been burned to the ground, though.

Point is, he is going where best fits his agenda. If his agenda is fame and fortune, the Rangers make less sense than other organizations. If his hope is a cup, Florida doesn't make much sense. Familiarity? Chicago and Florida become the best options.

He's not staying in Columbus though; that's about the only thing I do know.

Ideally, Ottawa would take Reimer and Luongo would go on LTIR. But that's highly unlikely, so who knows what's going to happen.

Last place Riemer will go actually, they need to get rid of goalies at the moment.

Really ? I thought they were both centers

Nope, Barkov and Trochek are Fla's 2 centers. Hubby is a LW so Panarin would probably play which ever line he wasn't or whichever had the best chemistry. Without any current changes their RWs would be Daddy and Hoffman

He's making less than his salary, so it can be attractive to them. They can let Nilson hit UFA if they feel like it so there's no problem there if they don't mind the downgrade.

Nope definitely not they have three good goalie prospects coming that need to play, Hogberg should be in the NHL next year. They still have Condon and Anderson under contract. Definitely wont be taking on Reimer.

Condon is already buried so it's not a problem. Sure, they can field rookies everywhere, but they still need to reach the floor somehow.

Its not going to be at the expense of losing a prospect so they can take Reimers terrible salary. There are teams that will actually have to dump players that can contribute. On top of that they will get to the floor just fine next year without bringing in anyone.

Fairly easy for them to reach it. AZ with their extensions is up to $74 projected cap next season and need to sign a couple more depth guys. Could easily part with Hossas dead cap contract. Same if Detroit wanted to unload their 2 ltir back diving deals as well.

Still think he's bound for New York, but Q does help the Panthers chances. They need Bobrovsky though.

Will be tough with Lou and Reimer on the books and unlikely to unload either.
Lu, best option given that they want to spend to the cap is to send him to a cap floor team to buyout thus they get to eat the $12.4 million of cash over cap hit the van and fla have paid him. Need a sweetener for that but they did get kicks from Pitt in the deal plus what they flipped Brassard for. Buyout cash wise is just over $2 million for 3 years worth of sizeable cap hits.

Reimer that’s a tougher story especially with him having a signing bonus next July. Not idea how other teams view him. His cap hit is higher than that glut of guys who signed as backups 2 years ago for around $2.5 each.
