It isn't about it being surprising, it is about a worrying trend of "oh he'll play soon, everything is fine" and it being continously put off.

Any short term actions to keep him away from exhibition games now has nothing to do with how the rest of his career will go.

If he misses the start of the regular season then I will be slightly concerned but at this point, I think it is just being cautious and expect to see him in the final 2 games so he hits the ice against the Canes ready to go.

That wouldn't do anything, and there is no way they want him on LTIR until Nov 8th if he would be ready anytime before that.

I think if you want to be Uber conservative with his shoulder, waiting till nov 8th is a small price to pay

Breakaway or semi breakaway , stretch pass up the middle, broke up a nice play, those are 2 things I recall.
Oh and a nice hit.
But ya the other 2 are definitely more skilled. So depends if you want an enforcer or not, with Jackeye (X…..), Reaves and Lucic in division, you definitely need it some of the time. Whether he wins or not.
