I remember when people were ******** all over Gonchar 2 years ago along with Phillips. Those two have been arguably our two most important skaters this season.

That said anyone else feel like Silfverberg has been our best forward for the last 3 - 4 games and is really starting to look like the guy that absolutely dominated the SEL? Obviously he still needs more time...but he seems to be everywhere lately. Defensively top notch, always reading the play, one of the best shots in the league (crazy skilled deflection goal today) and always putting pressure on the other team.

Zibanejad + Silfverberg on the same line has been amazing. They have great chemistry.

Seems to be getting the puck into good places, and creating space himself more often. The more he does this the more he will get to use his shot, and his puck deflecting skills seem to be showing up more

So when are we allowed to start saying the Sens might actually be Cup contenders? This team just KEEPS WINNING. They are 6th in the league, and before the playoffs will be adding a top 10 centre, a legit 1st line winger, and arguably the best goalie in the league. How many other top 10 teams in the NHL have that to look forward to?

Imagine if this team had Karlsson? Hell, at this rate we should be favourites next year.

Its crazy that this team is 6th in the league. Mac has got to get some serious consideration for coach on the year.

I recommend the Isles GDT for a good read. Has a twist ending.

A+. Would read again.

Don't feel bad for the islanders one bit, they gave us the game in the third. JT was also a noshow for them or maybe our d just made it look that way. Senatrollllllin

Unbelievable win for the Sens!!! Notes:

  • Gonchar is playing great. Not only is he putting up the points but he's getting better in his own end with each game that passes.
  • Wiercioch is starting to make noise for Calder consideration.
  • The Regin - Zib - Silf line was great once they were put together. Just a dynamic two-way line.
  • Gryba's puck skills are scary and not in a good way. Hopefully Methot isn't out too long and his minutes can be reduced soon. He seems to be regressing.

Great effort tonight, especially in that third. Bishop started off pretty shaky and let in a couple of softies. Was reduced to watching the Isles feed tonight because it was the only good one.. They were all over Neil all game implying he was diving. Pretty hard to sit through (even contemplated watching on mute). But we should a lot of heart battling back without Methot. The thing I love most about this team is how much heart and determination we have. It's remarkable.

Refs were bad and they should feel bad.

Games like these cheapen the league, it was a clown show of bad calls that impacted the game in a big way. The punchline that is NHL officiating continues...

I feel for Islanders fans. We would be livid if the same calls happened to us.

Lets not go overboard. The kicked in goal went to the war room it wasn't called by the refs. The players on the ice seemed to be sure it was kicked in and the war room had the only overhead views, so it seemed a lot less iffy than a lot of those calls.

For most of the game the calls were ridiculously in the Isles favor and they scored on a pp from a bad call. So I don't really think they have been hard done by.

Yeah, that's the thing about goalies...it's very difficult to be consistent. It was only a few weeks ago that Bishop was single-handedly keeping our team alive.

Really love the way Silferberg and Zibby are developing. All these injuries are a real blessing in disguise for the kids. Gives them plenty of NHL minutes with few expectations. Perfect for their development.

Wiercioch with 3 points. He's tied for 5th in overall rookie scoring and is 1 point back of Schultz for tops in rookie D scoring. #Sens

Very impressive. Nobody gave patty a chance at being our calder candidate but it could happen
