Honestly, I wonder if that is a new record. Most opposing coaches fired immediately following a game.

Nice to see Dzingel still have hustle in his game, was always a fan of his.

Can we please get Coburn off the ice. Our defense is beyond pitiful. Chabot and Zub are the only ones I want to keep, Chabot because of his offensive upside but his defense has been crap this year, Zub because he's doing what Demelo did last year. Gudbranson and Coburn are too damn slow, Zaitsev just doesn't have the hockey IQ of a top 4 defender and Brannstrom needs to make several leaps forward. God we need defensive help

Looks like they wanted to do it when the Flames won, to have a positive vibe when Darryl comes in.

Game has changed since he was in L.A. but he is exactly what the doctor ordered for the under performing Flames.

He may not bring them a cup but he will get the most out of these players and wear out the weak links.

P.S. They can fire the GM if they want now also cause Sutter has done that job before also.

Well, somehow we get coaches fired even when we lose.

Our kids need to learn how to play a conservative tighter game on the road.....As we have just too many holes teams can exploit in the matchup game

Understatement, I have never seen a defense getting abused that much. Ideally this is what we'd have right now

Chabot-???????
???????-???????
Brannstrom-Zub

Zaitsev is not "bad" but unless you have 3-4 very good D-men in front him, it's not good to have him play too much. He needs to be a #4 or #5

Chabot really need his Methot. Ultimately we're not going anywhere until we have that guy

5 years into Dorion's era and the only good D-man he has brought in is Zub.

Yeah, give him time to adjust to his new team!

That was another ridiculous personnel decision

We're not a team in a playoffs team, we're a team that is 8-16-1 and give up 3.92 GA/GP...

The question is if your team laid about 10-12 eggs in 26 games so far this season, can you still call that an egg?

Ottawa Senators 2020-21

Overall :

8-17-1, 2.65 GF/GP, 3.92 GA/GP, 15.1 PP%, 73.8 PK%
0.875 SV%, 8.17 SH%, 50.40 CF%, 49.66 SCF%, 51.59 HDCF%

Home :

5-6-1, 3.00 GF/GP, 3.00 GA/GP, 20.9 PP%, 83.3 PK%
0.904 SV%, 9.07 SH%, 49.86 CF%, 52.30 SCF%, 55.92 HDCF%

We're actually a decent team at home, not playoffs level but not too far. We seems to outchance the other teams by a good margin. All these numbers are good or at least fine

Road :

3-11-0, 2.36 GF/GP, 4.71 GA/GP, 10.0 PP%, 63.2 PK%
0.851 SV%, 7.37 SH%, 50.88 CF%, 47.76 SCF%, 48.29 HDCF%

We're just not a NHL team on the road. You'd think a NHL coaching staff could make enough adjustments to make us "bad" instead of "putrid"

Unless it's because our goalies are so much worse on the road then vs at home? I don't know because reading GDTs, it seems like many think goaltending is the main problem... Serious denial IMO.

I never thought I would even say anything like this. Stü has a lot of Chabot-like turnovers tonight. Too much confidence in own skills, holds onto puck too long, skates himself into bad spot against an NHL player, soft play results in turnover.

Good players need coaching and the right support in teammates too. Chabot and Stutzle are getting very little of that. Hard to say about coaching but I don't know, from what I see on the ice, I feel like coaching is a real weakness.

You say that like we’re TRYING to defend the defense. We’re not. Everyone knows the defense is garbage. But we got to get bailed out here and there
