At this point I am wondering if Lajoie and/or Jaros would have been in this lineup yet. I really think we jumped the gun letting those guys go.
Not saying they would have ever been NHL regulars here but they could sure be helping Belleville and I do think both of them could hold their own with a some of the D we've seen play this year

DJ's got such an outdated mode of thinking on toughness being hard to play against.

It's not hard to score when facing Gudbranson. He may throw the odd cross check but he's not hard to beat as an offensive player.

My expectation was that Gudbranson was a physical player with limited offensive ability. So far that expectation has been true for latter part (offensive ability) but not as physical as I expected. He has not shown any policeman type ability nor delivered any significant body checks so far. At best he replaces Borowiecki and is paid more.
