Your not the coach. Stop acting like it. There could be other reasons whey they are keeping him out of the lineup. Stop acting like you know the full story on the subject.

I know what they tell me and that is what has been said.

Don't know if you follow twitter but it has been said he was ready last game and he got enough practice time to get his weight and his timing back, he didn't miss one month here bud.

It's dumb, that's it

no it isnt cause if we lose with him in the lineup ppl will still cry about Maclean and how he changed a winning lineup

Maybe, but can't wait to see his haters if we lose, this will be pretty, like it or not Methot is our #2 and he said himself he was ready last game, he got almost all of the 7 pounds he lost back, he worked hard and he could have played last game, just find the decision odd.

We're not talking about Gryba here, Methot is our best defensive D. Will see

Yes, everything on twitter and the internet must be true.

Bruce Garrioch @SunGarrioch

Methot added he knows it is difficult for the coach to make a change. He isn't happy. He is being a pro. #Sens

Must not be ready :help::shakehead

My point still stands.

If you have real insider information please do tell. I have no problem with this coaching decision as I try and leave that to the professionals. I don't presume to know all the goings on and such with the team and what works in some video game may not work in real life.

Besides, even if he is 100%, he makes enough money to sit a game or two and not complain, just like a pro.

Real insider information? Seriously? Aren't you the guy saying there must be other reasons Methot is being scratched? What am I missing here, why are you crapping on the guy who expressed his opinion based on reports from the media that Methot is ready to go and is a healthy scratch?

Haha, what does his salary got to do with it?

The thing is that We/I want the best possible team on the ice.2 points is very important tonight and in my opinion, keeping an healthy Methot out is just wrong. And all sources say(I know "don't believe everything on the internet") that hes ready to go and he is not happy about sitting out tonight.

Mac has made weird decisions all season and this is clearly one of them.

I have no insider infos, I am not an insider and I never said otherwise. You agree with the decision fine, I don't, no need to take jabs at me with video games and such.

It's an internet forum where you can discuss about these so called professionals and considering our crappy results this year I think we have the rights to do so. Like it has been mentioned before. We/I want the best team possible, we have made great strides lately picking up points and it's a huge game tonight, we could be 1pts back of TOR and 3 of DET, not bad.

These professionals like you say, deal with nutritionists that help them a lot. In 1 or 2 days they can get your weight back up, 7 pounds is not that hard and it is not science or insider info. Plus, he had a couple of days to skate with the team and by himself too, he hasn't missed a month here man.

Also, I will trust our Jack Adams winning coach, if we win I'll be happy, but again, due to our results, I feel free to argue his decisions that have been odd this year. Big 2pts needed tonight and I don't get the fact that while being ready our best defensive d-man is a scratch. end

So you suggest that people here are smarter than the coach? You have all the facts that PM has to make his game decisions?

All I was inferring is there may be other reasons why PM has made the decisions he has. Did I ever say I have proof of anything?

What I suggested is that not everything you see on the internet is the absolute truth. I would hope that most people get that. To jump all over PM for a coaching decision without knowing the "real" facts may be a little presumptuous for anyone here.

And thanks for crapping on me for stating my opinion. Well done.

Back on topic; I'll be watching this one for a change, so here's hoping for another point of two in the win column. :yo:

There is nothing to worry about guys. The simplest answer is often the best. The team wants an extended look at Ceci so they can decide whether to keep him up or not. That's really all this is. The team loves Methot and everything he does for this team. Giving him a bit of a rest coming off a nasty flu bug is not a big deal. If this was about punishing someone it would be Cowen sitting out games.

Lmao so what are we to do here on a message board dedicated to the Sens? Not speculate on questionable decisions made by the coach?

All i am trying to get at is that we should not be totally crapping on the coach when we don't know the full story on the methot ordeal.

There is NO way that he could have put back on seven pounds of useful weight in four days. No way.

A hockey player will say he's "ready" even if he's got two broken arms and one of his legs lopped off. It's up to the COACH and the TRAINING STAFF to make the call as to when he's actually ready. Seeing as you're not hearing from them directly, maybe they know he's not 100% yet and sitting him out for one more game would help him.

We do play tomorrow. Inserting a fresh, healthy Methot against a surging Panthers team might be the plan.

2 wins in a row . . 1 back of toronto, 3 back of Detroit.

How different this season looks if the Sens can pull it out tonight and spray success all over the Ice.

Earth to posters. Trade happening....showcase those being shopped.
Just in case you don't know the players get FULL salary for sitting in the box. This isn't a per/hr job!
