Was this guy at the Sharks/Karlsson return game?

Painfully bad. Like I couldn’t believe they would try and pass it off as entertainment.

Par for the course for hockey games I guess. Everything is so cheesy and lame.

I like DJ Prosper, he is a lot of fun and people are into it. I like at the end when players come back on the ice all the phone flashlights are on. It ain't for everyone , sure, but it is better than last year.

February 12th vs Carolina should be the official boycott night. Put it out there on social media, call in to the stations, spray paint it on sleeping cows, put it everywhere. Go for the record for the worst attended game in modern NHL history.

I was expecting some sellouts over Christmas, especially with the scheduling quirk that saw our only two games at CTC over the break BOTH against the defending champs. The Bell Capital Cup usually ensures capacity crowds, too. Crazy times.

A real head scratcher with the exciting product on the ice for the second consecutive season and the assured strong future with a solid plan, stable ownership and finances, a moral and ethical code which is seemingly the envy of the league and a new building on the way!

I don't disagree with you, but it is nonetheless surprising - even as a so-called "boycotter" - that all the time off over Christmas and the influx of minor hockey teams from across the globe (specific to the second Washington game) didn't see better numbers. I underestimated the impact of the season on a couple of gates. On the whole, I agree.

I agree in that over the holidays I thought there would be some higher attended games which didn't seem to be the case but I personally thought the gate numbers would be much lower than the current average is at this time. I expect the figures to begin to bottom out shortly after the trade off and continue well into next season until a new ownership group comes along if that is ever the case.

I believe the attendance issues would be rectified simply from a new owner coming in, being reasonably respected and basically stating we will be a competitive club and the days of whining about spending are done, instilling hope as most owners would do. I would personally instantly re-acquire season seats on those brief statements alone.

I guess I took things for granted, with regards to the Christmas attendance. Would you look at me - taking things for granted. I should get a job with the Senat....nevermind....that's an oxymoron.

If we come out of this darkness still able to cheer on Sport/hockey I think we will be better fanbase for it, perhaps more empathetic moving forward, I legit know I have changed many of my views because of what I have witnessed and endured as a Senators fan over the last 24 months.

Look around any sports league there are plenty of bad owners, owners who can't keep their mouths shut, owners who keep sticking their noses into the team's business & owners who don't put money into the product. When it comes to ownership there will always be people who are against anything they do & sometimes deservedly so as it is here.

However, billionaires have a way of hanging on sometimes & would rather fight than give up, I don't see EM leaving anytime soon. IMO he hangs on thinking this new crop of players will eventually bring back respectability to the team & contend. They say winning cures all ills, it will be interesting to see if or when this team contends if that will be true if he is still the owner. "We live in interesting times."

Stands were pretty full, but boxes were mostly empty. I saw a lot of kids there. True, in the past it was an easy sellout

Some doozies coming on the schedule. Should be interesting to see how many show up to our games against Carolina and Arizona this month (Canes is a Sunday matinee though, so there's at least a glimmer of hope for that game).

I suspect there will be a lot of papering for those games. Melnyk needs the concessions and parking revenue for his profitable CTC business.

Interested to see what the turnout for the "skills competition" today will be, imagine there is alot of promos for them, laughed when I heard $25 per ticket on the radio, surely few would pay that?

Carolina should be the boycott game.

February 12th. A Tuesday night game against the 'Canes. That's been my prediction for lowest turnout of the season since before the season even started. Will be even worse if we've already moved Duchene and/or Stone and/or Dzingel by then.

A Sunday matinee will always be able to bring out the "family crowd" especially at the lower price point we've seen so far this season.

If there's gonna be a "boycott game" or a game where we are under 10k, that's the one right there.

Minnesota game is filling up as I was waiting for a sale as I needed two more tickets.

That's what I figured when looking at the schedule. #boycottsenshurricanes
