The funny thing was that I called the Cup being won in December when TM was fired... The Sharks fan told me of the firing and all I said was "THE CUP IS OURS!!!"... He looked at me as if I was nuts... (Heck...we were so far down in the standings I had serious thoughts of that being in the positive as well ...) He went a step further and offered to put $50 in my kettle the following kettle season if the Kings actually won the Cup...and I'm proud to say he paid up...

I was at the game in Boston that night and I went down to the glass during warmups; I have never seen a group of professional athletes who unanimously looked more stunned and hopeless as the Kings did that night. I might have said $100 (but I didn't so you ain't getting the money LOL)

How do you think I got 55-1 on my ticket...but it was the day BEFORE we acquired him...but I usually put those free $5 sports bets on the Kings when I cash my checks at the casinos anyway...

come on magical didn't start until feb. when they recalled king and nolan, during the early part I considered not renewing because the games were boring and the sat. day games were the worst , but once they recalled those two , threaten to trade brownie and the deadline trade every thing clicked and the next two and a half years were easily the greatest time to be a kings fan
