The Devils Went Down To LA
(To Charlie Daniels "Devil Went Down to Georgia")
The Devils went down to LA,
And were looking for a Cup to steal.
They were in a bind
Cause at three games behind
With the refs tryin' to make a deal.
When they came across those young Kings
Playin' with power, Playin' with pride
Yet the Devils dove across an icy patch like they died
The refs thought it was real...
I guess they didn't know it, the Kings are hockey players too
They just don't care
To take the dare
To make a call or two
If we play with passion
On power plays, Sun
We'd give the Devils their due
We play shorthanded like gold
Run through your soul
'Cause the Kings power play runs through
Like water through a tourist while down in Mexico
But the Calls we get
We always regret
'Cause it's the worst we've ever seen...
Jaimie's been screwing up each play and those goals becoming hard
'Cause all hell breaks out in LA as the dumb refs deal the cards
And when we win, chances are they won't be power play goals
To the victor, Lord Stanley gets our soul...
Referees opened off the game while saying "Let's start this show"
And dust blew out of their whistles as they intended to blow
When they called one in favor of LA, they made an evil hiss
As a band of demons joined in and they sounded something like this...
With the Devils defeat...Dustin said: "We love that Cup in LA
We won it fair and square...right here...and the parade's well on its way..."
Fire up the Staples...GO KINGS GO
The Devils lost the Cup of Lord Stanley's dough
Victors in every way, Lord said it's so
But did they have a chance???
Oh HELL NO...
The Devils bowed their heads because they knew that they'd been beat
And laid that Silver Trophy on the ground at Dustin's feet
Dustin said: "Devils come on back if you ever date to try again
Cause we told you guys, you sons of bums we're the best there's ever been...
And we saw fire from the Kings fans...GO KINGS GO!!!!!
The Devils crashed and burned in our playoff run
Victors in every way now paradin' in sun
Devils ever have hope??? OH HELL NO!!!!!

OMG! I don't even know if this is a real life. I had my doubts after game 5, but wow did they come through in a big way. Quick with the Conn Smyth!!!
