I’ve noticed he has been going to the boards more trying to get on pucks and winning battles, that’s a really good sign. I’m not worried about his offense, it’s the strength on the puck that he needed work and he seems to be getting better each game.

If he really applies himself he can really make himself into a great 3 zone player with the hands and hockey IQ he has

Zegras loses an offensive zone faceoff, then the Henderson defenseman tried to pass it to his D-partner, but it hits Lettieri and goes in. 3-2 Gulls.

Henderson ties the game off a tipped point shot, but once again, the Gulls answer. Limoges makes a nice move at the side of the net and flips it over the goalie's shoulder.

As I typed that, Henderson scores again. Tied at 4.

Gulls give up a goal at the very end of a penalty kill in OT. They were so close to killing it off. You could tell they really wanted this game.

Is the regular season leader going to be the "champion" in each division or are they at least doing a division playoff this year? I thought I read that they were going to talk about a playoff format but nothing was finalized yet (that was probably a month ago though).

Might as well get all the big boys--and all the French-Canadian Gulls--up here at this point and give Groulx a couple games to get a look. Even if he's not ready, he can't be any less (more?) of a non-factor than Grant has been lately.

I’d love to see groulx get a game or 2.... he’s been great in the ahl, prob earned a chance to get his feet wet. I would even consider letting perreault get a game or 2 just so he can get a feel for it and know what he has to do for next year

So, uh, I notice that no one bothered to update this thread...and for good reason, the Gulls conceded NINE to Tucson and lost 9-2.

The only positive to take out of that one was the Limoges-Groulx-Kindopp line, which factored in both goals. Groulx had two secondary apples, which gives him 26 points in 36 games, and he's effectively a PPG player (25 in 28) since he started the season with one goal in 8 games. Limoges scored both, bringing him to 7+8=15 in his 17 game cameo in San Diego; when we clear some guys out in the offseason, he may have played himself into an entry level contract.
