I had heard that the Sens offered Duchene $ 8 mil over 6 years, or something like that. I then heard Duchene on TV -- say his decision won't be "just about money."
If it's true he wanted out of Colorado because he wanted to play for a :"contender", you would think he may not want to sign with the Sens, as their not a contender ?
I'm sure he's heard the Jets, as well as some other clubs are trying to aquire his services, so maybe he's leaning toward a move out of Ottawa ? -to play for a "contender."
This would make sense, because you'd think if he wanted to stay in Ottawa, he would have taken the deal that's been offered to him ? which is a lot of money. Maybe we'll end up getting Duchene? I do think he's the perfect fit for our club.
