As much as Nuge has had stretches where he needs to be better, I watched CGY-OTT tonight and the effort from Monahan was just pathetic.

Glendening is a pure shutdown guy, stupid good on the faceoff, he's the kind of player that gets fed all the defensive zone starts, a throw back defensive specialist much in the same vein of a Boyd Gordon. Analytics wise he's doing very well in his role this season, but it's a small sample size , I'm not sure if he's the guy we should go for, but Tippett does like having a line that he feeds a huge chunk of the defensive zone starts.

One Boyd Gordon on the Oilers was enough for a lifetime .

Man Nuge has been so disappointing... If he wants anything over 6.25 I’d seriously consider moving on. There should be other options in FA that can get you more bang for your buck.

Would start with an elite young center going back.

As an Oilers fan I'm not thinking to hard about it. We're probably the 30th ranked team in the NHL that would be a compatible trade partner for Eichel given our strengths, needs, assets and cap space.

He is a UFA. His cap hit 3.25 mill.

We can probably do better with our cap.
