I'm not bold enough to pick the Finns from Minnesota, Anaheim or Carolina (or few AHL-teams). Lepistö's contract ends... Salmela's contract also ends but I think that he is maybe moving to Europe(KHL), and WC would be a chance for him to show his skills

Time to bring in some fresh blood. But surely Jalonen will pick his usual guys: Hytönen, Hahl, Santala, Mäenpää, Hietanen...

Hartikainen-Granlund-Pulkkinen as 3rd line would be interesting. G and P have been a force in juniors, and hartikainen could bring the needed grit to the line. Tons of potential, could really rip it against other teams 3rd or 4th lines.

Nummelin has told that he won't play in WC because he's had injury-plagued season and doesn't feel like he's fit enough at the moment to be a contributor for the team. Otherwise he probably would've been in the team.

J. Jokinen - M.Koivu - T. Ruutu
Lehtonen - Lehterä - Aaltonen
Hartikainen - Granlund - Pulkkinen
Komarov - Immonen - Pihlström
(Kontiola)

Pitkänen - Lepistö
Lydman - Vatanen
Karalahti - Salmela
(Niskala)

Bäckstrom
Vehanen
(Lassila)

Osala and Laakso will probably play in the AHL playoffs, so they might be out of consideration. Also I hope that I'll never see Lasse Kukkonen representing Finland in any competition again after his horrific performance in Vancouver.

Pitkanen and Lydman are big question marks. If the Canes make the playoffs, no Pitkanen; if the Ducks do, no Lydman.
If their teams make it they could still come if they lose in the first round, but yeah a possibility that they won't come.

Somehow I think that they are question marks even if they wouldn't make it to the playoffs.

Couldn't agree with you more on this one! :yo:

Hartikainen can hit and add some toughness to the line! Pulks can snipe and Granlund is the set up machine!

All of them are young and fast! Please Jalonen add all these players to the roster!

Jalonen: No, I will take players from the SEL that work hard, skate fast and have hands of stone and will freeze when theres a chance to score.

isnt granlund concussed again?

No, he's back, and seems like it wasn't a concussion after all

I hope we see some new young blood there. I dont want to see Santala or Pärssinen again.. they just suck and jalonen should believe it by now.

Lehterä - M. Koivu (C) - Lahti

Peltonen (A) - O. Jokinen - Aaltonen

Pulkkinen - Granlund - Hartikainen

Joensuu - Lindgren - Hagman

13rd Komarov, Has potentional to raise up there and take a place for someone who aint playing well enough. Can play basicly in any line from first to fourth.

First i was taking miettinen to the second line, but what the hell, he does not know how to score or earn a lot of points and will not learn it now. Peltonen is much better grandpa. I would love to see Mikko get to play with players who can actually score. Fourth line would be pretty skilled allso, but all players would be with some work ethic. Lindgren's playmaking ability can make those wingers score. Joensuu is big and could deliver some toughness. If energy is needed bench one of the wingers and put komarov in

D

Lehtonen - Salmela

Vatanen - Malmivaara

Karalahti(A) - Kankaanperä

7th who could it be? Someone from SEL?

Vatanen plays with other JYP defender, he was +30 this season with him. Lehtonen is one of the best in the league with huge slapshot, thought has been injured this season alot. Karalahti - Kankaanperä bring some toughness and karalahti is very skilled too.

G

Vehanen, He is maybe the best in the business :D
Lehtonen (if dallas drops) or some other nhl goalies, kipper probably wont come anyway, maybe backström would?

-Vatanen is out (as far as I know)
-My prediction is Carolina doesn't make the playoffs so that will free up Ruutu and Jokinen (maybe Pitkanen but I doubt it).

Best case scenario:

Ruutu - M. Koivu - Jussi Jokinen
Peltonen - Immonen - Hagman
Miettinen - Lindgren - Pihlstrom
Pulkkinen-Komarov-Ilari Filppula
Kontiola,Granlund

Lepisto - Vaananen
Karalahti - Kukkonen
Niskala - Salmela
Puistola

Lehtonen, Backstrom

J.Jokinen is UFA aswell and there's no point putting players like Pulkkinen and I.Filppula to the 4th line.

We've just got too much talent! Don't know where to put all these players. :D

Pulkkinen and Filppula are good energy players, the 4th line doesn't always have to be filled with goons. One is enough (Komarov).

Honestly, I can't even see Granlund fitting on this team as it seems we have an abundance of good centers.
