UFAs

1| F | Jesper Fast(h) |$1,850.000 |29 yo

Maybe 3 (at most) of these guys resign. 36 contracts in total then.

11 RFAs
1| F | Ryan Strome |$3.100.000 |27 yo
2| F | Brendan Lemiuex |$925,000 |24 yo
3| D | Anthony DeAngelo |$925,000 |25 yo

9| F | Gabriel Fontaine (ELC)|$736,667 |23 yo
10| D | Darren Raddysh|$730,000 |RFA 2020 |24 yo
11| F | Cristoval Nieves |$700.000 |RFA 2020 |27 yo
6 (or 7 at most) of these guys I believe are qualified.

That ends us up with at most 42 or 43 contracts next year taken from the organisation as is today. Before taking in consideration trades, cap casualties, UFAs, Buyout(s), Retirement, LTIR, Offer sheets (fat chance), other types of free agents, the slaying of Ghidorah and anything else enticing we might run into at the draft or via waivers. LOOKs pretty damned interesting. But there will be more significant roster turnover for sure.

In Hartford, I believe, we will also have minor league deals with:
Nicholas Jones
Zach Giuttari
Michael O’Leary
Lewis Zerter-Gossage
Ryan Dmowski
Greg Chase
Mason Geertsen

All I keep picturing...

DeAngelo-Trouba
Lindgren-Fox
Zac Jones-Lundkvist
Miller
Robertson
I think that picturing is all you are going to get to do as the chances of an entire home grown defense is almost non-existent. And I doubt that moving any of the RD to LD is going to happen.

I think Zac Jones will have a better career than K'Andre Miller

Zac Jones looked good in Stamford. Have to see more of Miller. He's a tall and narrow drink of water. Straight ahead speed but not sure about agility. lol, he's appears to turn so he's not a Nicky Fotiu skater

Right? If Lundkvist, DeAngelo, and Fox are good enough, hell, if Jones even joins them, I'll take the oompa loompas back there. NSH had a solid homegrown top-4 for years with Josi-Weber; Ekholm-Ellis.
I'm with ya, Miller and Robertson are big boys, Lindgren plays a tough game. As long as you have guys that can compliment a smaller right side I have no problem moving Trouba

weber = 6'4 230
ekholm = 6'4 215
josi = 6'1 201
ellis = 5'10 180

so not exactly comparable in terms of size...not to say that our guys can't be good but size-wise we'd basically have 4 ellises

The more I think about, the more I feel that this team needs a 4th line center that you can throw out there in the last minute of a game protecting a lead. That would spell minutes for Mika, and make the team deeper.

I think it’s also about styles, to go along with size. At some point, as much fun as it is to have guys who can make magic with the puck, it is nice to have a RD that can go out there and eat ugly minutes and set the tone in a different way.

That’s why a lot of playoff teams that have success end up looking for those guys. At some point, especially in playoff hockey, having 3-4 guys hovering around the 6’0 mark or below, might not be the most effective approach.

I think the only options are Lettieri and Gettinger.

I dont know if Lettieri has to clear waivers to be called up. Or that he would have to clear to go back down.

We also only have 2 more moves? I didnt even know there was a limit there.

Either get called up. Gauthier promoted to the 3rd line. Howden to center. If Chytil cant go

Edit: Just saw Lettieri is suspended 3 games.

So options are really down to Gettinger. Nieves and Fogarty would not be helpful imo.
