And pretty sure Leetch and Tony never scored a silky smooth wrap around for the first Rangers goal of the season like Marc Staal.

I wonder if an alternate timeline formed at the 'eye incident'... There's a bizarro world where we have three Staal captaincy-led cups and he has 2 Conn Smythes.

I dont think its as easy to move $5 million contracts as you think, whether or not said player is entirely reliant on another player for any significant level of success.

You're over complicating things, and assuming he doesn't live up to his contract. Most likely we don't have to move him because he has been good for us since he got here no matter what peoples agendas are. If for some strange reason we end up with the worst possible scenario and he ended up with 40 points, a drop off from last season, it really doesnt matter, we have the cap space to cover it, its not like we are the Leafs and it would cripple our team, and then he becomes our 3rd C. I have 0 reason to believe that happens, and if it does, we can either move him retaining half in the last year of his deal or let the contract run out. There is nothing that has happened since he got here that leads me to believe he doesn't live up to a 2 year deal the same as Deangelo's, in fact, im intrigued to see how his line functions with another scoring threat on the right side, it should open up more space for Panarin and Strome, and letting him leave before we see that would be a poor decision. If we are talking 5 year deal thats a problem, but thats not what im talking about, 1 or 2 year deal.

They did but the guy running the draft was Ryan Jankowski who was just hired after he got whacked in Buffalo a couple of months ago. Armstrong, the new GM was not allowed to work on the draft.

What happens when you keep giving daddy's little contrarian chance after chance for 20 years with out any merit and an absolute dog shit track record?

You get another PR nightmares. Gary's gotta get hands on the poorly run organizations. Wouldn't be first time with Arizona.

It's the above that's going to cost the league millions upon millions. All by carrying some unqualified dead weight around. That's what's wrong. Everyone blames the optics, but never the one f***ing moron that makes the dumb decision.

They need that CEO to make an example. After a f***ing prosecution you make that decision. You fire the moron for sheer incompetence.

But I thought Chakya was the flavor of the month when he was hired. Everyone was going to follow his style and he was a genius.
He did his reputation and career a ton of damage trying for a few more shekels. Should have honored his new contract, show some performance in a bad situation and he could have written his own ticket to be a sports conglomerate prez. Now he’s a hockey fancy stats consultant you can’t trust.

Anyone see Joel Armia as a potential RW target if Buch moves on and Gauthier doesn’t take the step?

Canadiens have Andersson, Gallagher, Toffoli on that side. Something has to give.

He helped create that bad situation

Yah was gonna say we should know where we stand this week. I expect Lemieux to get done before arbitration surprised it hasn’t finalized yet as it is. What his father is arguing for with Gorts is silly. He’s done nothing. Might be term more than dollars

Strome is the wild one for sure this one imo is going to arbitration.

What happens this week with a lot of hearings on deck, may start to get the wheels moving for a lot of the remaining free agents. There are a lot of teams tight with their finances and there are still a lot of quality players left that can provide depth.
