So Special Teams so far this year is brutal, and is what sunk us again last night. The Amerks were 0/6 on their PP last night, while also being 3/6 on the PK. The Amerks PP is 27th in the AHL at 9.8% and their PK is dead f-ing last at 69.8%. That cannot continue if this team is gonna be a playoff contender again.

With guys like Wilson, Eliie (injured now), and Malone you would think the PK would be ok. Same with PP, good mix of vets and kids. Perhaps when Leier get s back that will improve and Not having Taylor around a factor ?

Same as I posted on Twitter - the old saw that a team's best penalty killer is it's goalie. Fix the net, that'll fix the PK.

As for the powerplay, Redmond has returned to earth for one thing. And they don't have Gilmour like was assumed.

And likely, Taylor's absence is part of it. They will need to improve the goaltending though, regardless.
