I am so sad about this. I loved watching this kid play in Providence, because he played the right way. I think I voted for him a few years back as my favorite prospect, with a comment something along the lines of “he can Center a fourth line in the NHL right now”. Never heard a bad word about him. This has been a terrible month hasn’t it? I’m rooting for CC and hope everyone stays safe.

Members of the Bruins have been doing what they can to help Cave's wife and family, sending messages, food, supplies and gifts. Typical of this awesome playing group (inc. alumni Backes and McQuaid) and the people around them to be proactive in doing what they can to assist a former comrade. I'm sure the Oilers have been pitching in too. It's especially hard for the family as they can't be in the hospital room with Colby because of the pandemic. Just a terrible situation.
