Reason for Hawks' early success?

An assessment by Powers & Laz about the state of the Hawks player development with 1/3rd of the season done. I know Laz lacks credibility on here but what about Powers? Is he better at in and post game analysis?

This guy just cold emails bowman and gets a job in player development, becomes director and then assitant gm of player development. Maybe for the people here on HFboards the dream isn't so far away. Anyone go to Notre Dame ?
