So the 2012 draft had a lot of promising defensemen picked in the 1st round. Now they got around plus minus 100 games each in the NHL. How would you rank them as of right now - and how would you rank them in terms of potential (#1D, top4 etc.).

Pretty much. I'd give a slight edge to Trouba, but can't go wrong with either.

^ I've been watching both intently the last few years. Trouba and Lindholm are the top dogs so far with Murray and Maata closely nipping at their heels. To me I think Lindholm has the slightest hair of an edge on Trouba. And that's not homerism talking. His positioning is just a touch more consistent than Trouba's.

I know he isn't in the nhl yet but i still take rienhart where the isles were choosing, the stuff he did his last 2 games before boychuk and hammer got back were absolutely brilliant defensively, can't wait to see what he is as a young vet in a few years
