So does that mean Fast will get a real number or does he still get a temporary one? ie. Girardi 46, Callahan 43, Miller 47, etc...

Agree with these decisions. Kreider's gotta get his head on straight, Asham looked reengaged and ready to play, Fast and Miller earned their spots. Hrivik is close, he had a good camp too. I still don't see where Pyatt fits in.

Like Fast and Miller staying. Both looked ready. Congrats to them. Kreider, Hrivik and Lindberg all look to be very close as well.

Kreider has been looking close to ready for almost a year now. I just want the kid to be able to put his **** together although most people feel want him to as well I'm assuming

They can't place Hagelin on LTIR until Tuesday right? So how does this work with the rosters having to be in on Monday?

I like that line up...I'm excited to hear what the lines look like at practice today.

It is a disappointment that Kreider did not make the team out of camp, but watching his games, he did not show enough of what he can bring. I hope he tears it up in the AHL fast and makes it back here, but he's gotta become more consistent in his play. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Kreider had 0 goals, 1 assist in the preseason, while Richards and Nash combined for 0 assists and 0 goals. Just saying.

It's going to be exciting to watch this team, and I think as some players develop in the AHL, they will reach a point where they will be ready to play in the NHL and I think we could see some trades in the season maybe trading Pyatt, Asham and bring up some of the young kids that are ready.

It's an exciting time with the youth movement this season and next.

Pyatt doesn't deserve a spot even though kreider looks awful, Pyatt is just useless. At least powe can pk

Totally agree. I never had a problem with Powe last year. He just doesn't put up points. Pyatt is slow and worthless. I hope Pyatt gets moved.

I think Boyle has filled the quota for big idiots who are slow, but occassionally chip in with a big goal.

I agree with all the moves, except the Pyatt over Hrivik decision. I don't get that one.
Besides the cap savings, that should've gotten them below the cap, what does Pyatt bring that Hrivik doesn't?

I think if lindberg really starts lighting it up, as well as Kreider and/or hrivik in the AHL, I could see pyatt/asham/boyle all getting moved. Of course if you move Asham you probably feel Haley is ready to take Asham's spot.

i understand the need for toughness but asham over kreider I don't understand in this system we need speed and maybe kreider chips in a few.
pouliot stepan nash
miller brassard fast
boyle Richards zucc
asham moore dorsett

I think its ok but we really need cally and hags back soon

Well, shocker coming from me, but I thought Pyatt looked much better in this system than he did in Torts' system. I am fine with them keeping him for now.

Agree with Miller and Fast. Who knows, Pyatt might be a goner when Cally and hags come back. Ditto Asham.

Hartford should be a more interesting team this year, with some genuine prospects.
